Karl-Anthony Towns has found his name trending as of late following the trade from Minnesota to New York. However, his name is also going viral for another reason that has nothing to do with basketball.

Fans have been speculating about whether Towns and his girlfriend Jordyn Woods are engaged. This is due to the model’s latest activity on social media.

It started with an Instagram post from Woods, where she is rocking a New York Knicks hoodie and a stunning ring to boot. E! News’ Rachel McRady pointed this out in her latest piece and tried to connect the dots between her boyfriend’s current team and a gigantic ring on her finger.

Karl-Anthony Towns’ girlfriend didn’t stop there. She posted a filter video on Snapchat where she was trying to pick her bridal dress from the options provided. She has not confirmed any engagement updates nor has Towns himself.

Not every celebrity couple are capable of handling the constant attention being given by the public, especially the paparazzi.

However, Karl-Anthony Towns and Jordyn Woods have been the opposite of that. Towns appeared on Shannon Sharpe’s ‘Club Shay Shay’ podcast where he gave his comments on the matter.

“I think that we both live in the public eye,” Towns said. “You know, we both have different things, different rumors, I swear that have been completely false. We understand that people are going to with whatever is the most entertaining.”

Karl-Anthony Towns also added how the two have remained authentic in their relationship, despite the challenges presented in maintaining their individual branding.

“We’re not just like … brands are cool but like us growing as individuals … being better versions of ourselves every day through each other is pretty special,” Towns said. … She brought me comfort as a friend into the next phase of my life. That’s something that’s really tough to find in situations like that when there’s extreme amount of discomfort.”

They started dating around May 2020 and eventually decided to make it public through an Instagram announcement on Sept. 26, 2020.

Last season, Karl-Anthony Towns put up 21.8 points (50.4% shooting, including 41.6% from beyond the arc), 8.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists. He is entering his 10th season in the league and starting a new chapter in his NBA journey with the New York Knicks.

Towns is also envisioned as an integral piece of the Knicks in their hopes of bringing home a championship. He will be paired alongside Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby. The team came up short of their title goals in the 2024 playoffs after the Indiana Pacers eliminated them.
