Oba Femi Speaks Out After Becoming the Longest-Reigning WWE NXT North American Champion

WWE NXT’s Oba Femi has been portrayed as one of the most dominant forces in the entire roster currently. The 26-year-old giant made history after becoming the longest reigning NXT North American Champion this week.

Femi cashed on his WWE NXT Breakout contract on Dragon Lee to win the championship and has been portrayed very dominantly ever since. The star surpassed Wes Lee’s 269-day reign back in 2023 to become the longest reigning champion, making headlines all around the world.

The champion broke his silence after making history recently with a post on X. Femi not only stated that he was the longest reigning champion, but also added ‘Greatest’ to the mix, claiming to be better than every other man who ever had their hands on the title.

“271 days, Greatest and Longest North American Championship Reign!!!!!” wrote Femi.

Oba Femi Becomes Longest-Reigning NXT North American Champion Ever

One half of The Terror Twins, Damian Priest, had nothing but words of appreciation for the reigning NXT North American Champion recently. In an appearance on Fanatics Signing via UpUpDownDown, the the former World Heavyweight Champion was asked to name an NXT star he wanted to face in the future.

In response to the intriguing question, the star named Oba Femi, and stated that the latter was ‘inevitable,’ and will become a ‘megastar’ in the the future.

“He was legit one of the first ones that came to mind when you asked the question. Ridiculously impressive, right? Especially the fact that his limited time in the business and what he can do already. That’s gonna be a megastar,” stated Priest. [H/T – WrestleTalk]

While Oba Femi has a list of stars left to face on the developmental brand, him being called up to the main roster soon won’t be a surprise. Time will now tell what WWE has in store for the star in the future.
