After a two-game hiatus, Taylor Swift has returned to Arrowhead Stadium to support boyfriend Travis Kelce, as a depleted Kansas City Chiefs offense looks to overcome the New Orleans Saints.
Swift attended the first two Chiefs games this season, watching Kelce celebrate wins over the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals. Some fans were concerned for their relationship after she skipped victories over the Atlanta Falcons and the Los Angeles Chargers, but the singer will be back in the suite for “Monday Night Football” on ESPN/ABC.
It was Kelce’s birthday on Oct. 5, but the NFL star admitted that he didn’t spend it with Swift. To ease reports that their relationship could be on the rocks, Kelce then revealed to Page Six: “She will not be here [today. But] I know she’s coming in for the game.”
Kelce celebrated his 35th birthday by hosting his second annual Kelce Car Jam charity event, which was attended by his brother Jason and also teammate Patrick Mahomes. Now, Kelce’s focus is on ensuring the Chiefs improve to 5-0, and his role will be crucial if Kansas City is to remain unbeaten.
The Chiefs are one of two unbeaten teams remaining in the NFL, as the Minnesota Vikings improved to 5-0 after resisting a late comeback attempt by the New York Jets in London on Sunday. The Saints appear to be a different type of threat this season, after scoring 44 points in a statement win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2.
The Saints are 2-2 after suffering narrow defeats against the Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons but will be boosted with confidence ahead of facing the Chiefs. Kansas City already lost running back Isiah Pacheco to injury after he was placed on IR, and now wide receiver Rashee Rice has been ruled out with a knee injury.
Options are limited for quarterback Mahomes, and Kelce hasn’t been himself so far this season. The tight end has 158 yards from the opening four games, although 89 of those came in Week 4 against the Chargers.

Kelce is yet to score a touchdown this season, and it’s believed that Swift’s recent absence has been strategic so he can refocus on football. The Chiefs tight end enjoyed himself this summer while watching Swift perform several Eras Tour shows, but the singer was concerned that their lifestyle in the offseason has impacted his performance.
Life & Style claimed that they were told by a source that Swift has promised to go on a diet to help Kelce get back in shape, agreeing to stop drinking and eating unhealthy foods when around her boyfriend. “All the commentators are saying that he partied like a monster during the offseason and he’s only got himself to blame for being out of shape and out of form,” the source said about Kelce.
“Taylor and Travis both insist it’s being blown out of proportion, but there’s no doubt Taylor feels a little guilty that it’s gotten to this point because it is true that he spent his offseason living the good life with her. Even after training camp he was off his diet and partying with her and her friends because that’s what she wanted to do.
“Now making it her mission to help him shed the weight and get his six-pack back so that he can have all the haters eating their words. She’s promised to go on the diet with him for support, at least when they’re together. That means all the junk food is out, no sugar, and definitely no drinking.”
