RIC Flair has said goodbye to yet another woman in his life.
The wrestling legend, 75, and wife No5 Wendy Barlow have called it a day on their six-year marriage.
Flair, a 16-time WWE champion and Hall of Famer, shared an emotional statement with his three million followers on Instagram.
But he was quick to insist the separation was an amicable one and that they remain on good terms.
He said: “Wendy and I enjoyed 13 great years.
“As with every couple, we have experienced our ups and downs. [But] I think it’s important for everyone to know right now that we have decided to part ways respectfully.
“I’ll never be able to thank her enough for standing by my side through my terrible health crisis in 2018. She never left my side! And for that I will always be grateful!
“We both are working on different projects at the current time and it becomes difficult with my schedule and her schedule to make this work.
“I wish her the best of luck with her projects and I know that she supports mine.”
Flair has lived a colourful love life, including once revealing he slept with 10,000 women.
SunSport delves into the outrageous ladies’ man’s past.
In 2017 ESPN documentary 30 for 30, Flair confessed his lust for sex – bedding around 10,000 women.
He later told People that he regretted admitting about his sexcapades for family reasons
“What I said was the truth, but I feel bad now that I said some of it. Ten thousand women,” Flair said.
“I wish I hadn’t said that because of my grandkids.”
However, he didn’t back down on his claim in another interview last year with NBC Sports Radio.
Although he confessed that not all of his conquests were “top talent”.
Flair also joked that his “adventures” began when he was in sixth grade, equivalent to our Year 7.
He revealed: “Well, if you do the math, I started when I was in seventh grade! Let me say that hypothetically, I slept with five people.
“You’d go to your friend next door and go, ‘bulls***!’ If I had said, ‘250,’ you’d go, ‘bulls***.’
“If I said, ‘5,000,’ you’d say, ‘oh, maybe.’ I’m not far off on that number.
“It doesn’t mean that everybody was Marilyn Monroe by any means, but I’m not far off. I wrestled. I was really good at three things: I wrestled, drinking, and talking, saying ‘goodnight.’”
Flair married Leslie Goldman in 1971, before he found fame and fortune and became one of the most famous wrestlers on the planet.
Their nuptials lasted 12 years, divorcing in 1983.
They had two children, who both would have ties to the wrestling industry.
Oldest daughter bodybuilder Megan would go on to marry wrestling podcaster Conrad Thompson, and son David went on to wrestle in the WCW in the 1990s.
Flair and Leslie’s marriage seemed to avoid scrutiny, and it is believed they split amicably.
Flair didn’t waste any time in getting re-married. The same year his divorce to Leslie came through, he said ‘I do’ to businesswoman Elizabeth Harrell.
Wrestling promoter Jimmy Crockett Jr would serve as his best man for the day.
Their union would last an incredible 23 years, with another two children born.
Charlotte, the most famous, would go on to have a huge career in the WWE.
Their son Reid, who also had aspirations to be a wrestler, would tragically die in 2013 aged just 25 from a drug overdose.
Elizabeth would often appear in storylines on WWE and WCW, before their divorce in 2006.
It was a bitter divorce. In the settlement, Flair was accused of “cruel and barbarous treatment” of his wife.
This was said to include physical abuse, emotional abuse, verbal abuse, drug and alcohol issues, sexual harassment, and rape accusations.
Third time’s supposed to be a charm, and that’s exactly what Flair would have thought when he walked down the aisle with fitness coach Tiffany VanDemark in 2006.
That was the same year he left the WWE, which
However, with his star falling and crippling debts of millions owed, the marriage was put under strain.
Tumultuous to say the least, it lasted just three years.
In 2009, Flair filed a criminal complaint against Tiffany with allegations she hit him in the face with a phone charger.
That was a year after he left the WWE and was at an all-time low.
She has since gone on to become a motivational speaker and has offered advice on empowering women.
The ink was barely dry on his third divorce when Flair married Jackie Beems.
Again, three years was as long as it lasted – with abuse allegations rife in their relationship.
In 2010, Jackie allegedly attacked Flair – leaving him bloodied and bruised.
Beems reportedly used her teeth, arms and legs in an altercation with her then husband.
She spent a night in a North Carolina jail, before she was later released and charges were eventually dropped.
In divorce papers, Jackie claimed Flair had numerous intimate relationships with other women during their marriage.
It was finally dissolved in 2014.
In 2018, Flair married Wendy Barlow at the Pearl Hotel in Rosemary Beach, Florida.
Amusingly, some of the ceremony was recorded as a Facebook live video.
Also hilariously, fans of the WWE were aware that Flair’s and Barlow’s paths had crossed before.
She used to play the role o his maid ‘Fifi’ in the American wrestling promotion.
Bizarrely, Flair released a statement they had split back in 2022 after spending some time apart.
However, they seemed to get things back on track and reunited shortly after.
But, it wasn’t to be with conflicting work schedules to blame.
