The former Sasha Banks, known as Mercedes Mone in AEW, is one of the greatest female wrestlers ever. The Boss’ WWE career was highly successful where she won the Raw Women’s Championship five times, the SmackDown Women’s Championship once, a three-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, and a former NXT Women’s Champion becoming the third woman in WWE history to become the third Grand Slam Champion.
Whether it’s as Sasha Banks or Mercedes Mone, this wrestling superstar has put on some classic matches.
Mercedes Mone is currently a double champion in AEW, holding the AEW TBS Championship and the Strong Women’s Championship. While she has achieved a lot throughout her career, there’s a lot that the reigning AEW TBS Champion hasn’t completed in her career. There’s a possibility that she could return to WWE in the future, and make history on things that she hasn’t achieved.

Surprisingly, Sasha Banks competed in two just women’s Royal Rumble matches throughout her career. Both times she had to take the scenic route if she was going to win the women’s Royal Rumble match as she entered from the unenviable number one spot.
Banks was in the final four of the inaugural women’s Royal Rumble match in 2018 that headlined the show. However, after spending 54 minutes and 46 seconds in the bout, the Bella Twins eliminated her. Four years later, Banks was one of the favorites to win the 2022 women’s Royal Rumble match and she was eliminated in under 10 minutes by Queen Zelina which was a shock.
Mercedes Has Never Won Queen Of The Ring
Queen Sasha Has A Ring To It
The Queen of the Ring tournament is a prestigious championship, and there was added value to winning the tournament in 2024 as the winner would go on to challenge for a Women’s World Championship on their respective brand at SummerSlam. The Boss was one of the top names who has never won the tournament.
Banks was still in WWE when the tournament was known as the Queen’s Cup in 2021. Still, she unsuccessfully challenged for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in a triple threat match with reigning champion Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair at Crown Jewel with Lynch retaining the gold. Banks would have been a good Queen of the Ring but that’s something on her resume that’s missing which she could put right if she returns to WWE.

There have only been two women’s 30-minute Iron Man matches in WWE history, and Sasha Banks featured in both. Banks challenged Bayley for the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT TakeOver: Respect but she failed to recapture the gold, and Banks moved to the main roster in 2015.
A year later, Banks defended the Raw Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair in a 30-minute Iron Man match at Roadblock: End of the Line. The yo-yo of the Raw Women’s Title between Charlotte and Banks continued for the final time with Banks dropping the title back to the Queen.
Never Main Evented SummerSlam

Sasha Banks’ SummerSlam History | Match Length | Match Stipulation | Match Outcome |

SummerSlam is arguably the second biggest premium live event on WWE’s calendar, and it’s going to be a two-night extravaganza from 2025. However, despite competing in three championship matches at SummerSlam, Sasha Banks has never closed out SummerSlam.
SummerSlam has featured some fantastic WWE Women’s Championship matches over the years, but there have also been some underwhelming title bouts.
It was always going to be a tall order for Banks to main event SummerSlam although her Raw Women’s Championship match with Asuka in 2020 was outstanding with the Empress of Tomorrow ending the Boss’ championship reign. Banks has headlined WrestleMania which was a historical moment and if she returned to WWE, SummerSlam would be an event she’d look to close out.
Never Won The Divas Championship
Sasha Banks Never Got A Shot At The Divas Championship
The WWE Divas Championship was still in operation when Sasha Banks moved to the main roster in the summer of 2015. Nikki Bella and Charlotte Flair held the Divas Championship in 2015 and Banks never challenged for the WWE Divas Championship.
At WrestleMania 32, WWE Hall of Famer Lita unveiled the new WWE Women’s Championship which Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch were battling over. The Queen was the final Divas Champion as the championship was surplus to requirements in favor of the Women’s Championship.
Never Main Evented Survivor Series

2021 | 23:45 | 5-on-5 Survivor Series elimination match | Team Raw defeated Team SmackDown |
Survivor Series is another major premium live event on WWE’s calendar with a rich history. However, only one women’s match has main evented Survivor Series and that was in 2019 when NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler defeated the SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley and Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch in a triple threat match.
Sasha Banks has participated in six matches at Survivor Series in six consecutive years from 2016-2021 without a main event appearance on the show. Banks and Asuka battled over the Raw Women’s Championship in the summer of 2020, and they had another fascinating battle in 2020 in a Champion vs. Champion match with Banks as the reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion reversing the score from their SummerSlam match.
Never Won The Money In The Bank Ladder Match
Banks Hasn’t Become Ms. Money In The Bank
Event | Match Length | Match Stipulation | Winner |
---|---|---|---|
Money in the Bank 2018 | 18:30 | Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match (Sasha Banks Vs. Alexa Bliss Vs. Becky Lynch Vs. Charlotte Flair Vs. Lana Vs. Naomi Vs. Ember Moon Vs. Natalya) | Alexa Bliss |
The women’s Money in the Bank ladder match is one of the most important gimmick matches, as the winner gets a future World Championship shot at any time and any place. Sasha Banks competed in one women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, the third one in 2018.
WWE has hosted over 30 Money In The Bank ladder matches, but some have been far better than others.
The match was star-studded with former Women’s Champions Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, Naomi, and Natalya involved. Banks was unsuccessful in her quest to become Ms. Money in the Bank with the Goddess triumphant.
Never Retained The Raw Women’s Championship By Pinfall Or Submission
Banks’ Raw Women’s Championship Reigns End Early
Raw Women’s Championship Reign Number | Defeated For The Title | Dropped The Title To | Length Of Title Reign |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Charlotte Flair | Charlotte Flair | 26 Days |
2 | Charlotte Flair | Charlotte Flair | 27 Days |
3 | Charlotte Flair | Charlotte Flair | 19 Days |
4 | Alexa Bliss | Alexa Bliss | 8 Days |
5 | Asuka | Asuka | 26 Days |
Winning the Raw Women’s Championship is a massive achievement which Sasha Banks has done five times, but keeping the title has proven troublesome. One thing that’s consistent with Banks’ Raw Women’s Championship reigns is whoever she’s beaten to kickstart her championship reign, she’s dropped the title back to them.
Surprisingly, four of her five Raw Women’s Championship reigns have resulted in her dropping the title at the first attempt. She’s never retained the title by pinfall or submission, and her lone SmackDown Women’s Championship reign was longer than her five Raw Women’s Championship reigns combined.

Sasha Banks has featured in five traditional Survivor Series elimination matches but she has never managed to become the sole survivor. Natalya has been a thorn in the Boss’ side in traditional Survivor Series elimination matches as she eliminated her in back-to-back years in 2016 and 2017.
Banks’ best performance in a traditional Survivor Series elimination match was in 2019 as she had four eliminations to her name including Bianca Belair. She was defeated in the end by Rhea Ripley who secured the victory for Team NXT.
Retained A Championship At WrestleMania
Banks Failed To Retain A Championship At WrestleMania
Sasha Banks has competed in a plethora of major championship matches at WrestleMania, but Banks has entered WrestleMania twice as a reigning champion, and both times she left beltless.
Banks and Bayley defended the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 35 against The Ilconics, Beth Phoenix and Natalya, and Nia Jax and Tamina. Surprisingly, they dropped the titles to The Ilconics, and a couple of years later, Banks and Bianca Belair made history as the first pair of black women to headline WrestleMania. Banks entered as the SmackDown Women’s Champion, but the EST of WWE curtailed her championship reign.
