There will be periods during certain wrestlers’ careers where they aren’t used despite being employed, often without being given a good reason for their absence. They’re not hurt, they haven’t done anything wrong. It’ll just be a case of the promotion they work for not having anything for them. Tegan Nox is in that situation right now, and five months on from the last time she appeared in any capacity on WWE television, the Welsh Superstar wants her employers to know she’s not happy.
WWE announced that the Speed tournament it held for male Superstars will be getting a women’s version, kicking off on September 4. Presuming the tournament follows the same format as the men’s version, the matches will air exclusively on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. Nox is not featured in the ad for the tournament, and her response to its announcement confirms that she’s not asked to be a part of it.
One particular female competitor is not happy about WWE’s announcement of their new show on X.com called WWE Speed. She didn’t hold back her thoughts.
Nox posted that she can’t even get booked on WWE’s tattoo show, let alone in its upcoming Speed tournament. The tattoo show Nox is referencing runs on WWE’s YouTube channel and returned last week to shine a spotlight on Rhea Ripley and her ink. Jey Uso, Shotzi, and Damian Priest are among some of the other stars to have been featured on Tattooed, but clearly Nox hasn’t been asked yet and is a little upset about it.
Tegan Nox Has Missed Large Chunks Of Her Career Thanks To Injuries
Nox has wrestled a few dark matches over the summer and competed on WWE’s UK tour in April. However, the last time she wrestled a match on TV was the April 1, 2024, edition of Raw, losing a six-person tag match. You have to go back even further to find a time when Nox was being featured regularly – January 2024 – and even then she was losing every week, teaming with Natalya for a series of defeats. The last time Nox won a televised match was November 20, 2023, and her last singles match on TV was a week before that.
As much as Nox likely wants to stay in WWE, it must be particularly frustrating for her to miss time in the ring for no reason when she has spent so much of her career to date on the sidelines. Nox injured her knee shortly after signing with WWE, taking a year to recover, and then hurt it again after she returned which sidelined her for almost another year on top of that. With so much of her career already lost to long-term injuries, it must be frustrating to not make the most of the time she has when healthy and ready to wrestle.
