Over a year after their son Bronny’s heart stopped during a USC basketball practice, LeBron James and his wife, Savannah, are finally speaking out.
In July 2023, the James family and fans were stunned when Bronny collapsed during training with the Trojans.
Thankfully, Bronny made a full recovery, continued playing with the team, and eventually joined his dad, LeBron, with the Lakers.
In Netflix’s latest docuseries, Starting 5, the couple got real about how Bronny’s health scare impacted them.
“I think at the end of the day, it was just about us supporting each other and just being super grateful for the outcome.”
The show also captured a moment when LeBron and his mom, Gloria, visited USC. During the visit, they met Erin, the medical responder who saved Bronny’s life.
“Shout out to the man above,” LeBron said, giving props to the USC team. “And to the whole coaching staff, training staff, members of that program.”
