In the Open Era, since the introduction of computer-based rankings in 1973, Jannik Sinner became the first Italian to dominate the men’s world rankings in a single season. At the same time, the 23-year-old is also the fourth player currently competing to do so, after Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz.
2024 was the most successful year of Jannik Sinner’s career since he turned professional. Sinner was in top form with the Australian Open and Roland Garros titles. Along with that, he also won 4 other ATP titles, including 2 Masters 1000 tournaments in Miami and Cincinnati, as well as 2 ATP 500 titles in Rotterdam and Halle.
