But someone not in regular conversation yet, is Umaga’s son, Zilla Fatu. The young wrestler is still very new to the game but has a ton of potential. With the undying possibility of him potentially joining WWE down the line, there’s a lot that fans should know about him.

WWE have brought aboard multiple names from the Anoa’i family (and their close friends) to join The Bloodline storyline. Zilla Fatu has not gotten that opportunity yet, but he hasn’t been quiet on his desire to one day be a part of it.

He is often teasing joining The Bloodline, and this has only ramped up since his former partner and family member Jacob Fatu joined WWE. MuscleManMalcom spoke to Jey Uso and threw Fatu’s name in the mix, to which Uso responded “never say never”.

Zilla Fatu Parted Ways With GCW In Some Potential Controversy

GCW Announced That Fatu Was No Longer Appearing With The Promotion

Zilla Fatu was scheduled for an appearance at GCW’s Aura show in September, but just prior to the event GCW announced out of nowhere that he wouldn’t be at the show, or any shows for the forseeable future. There was no reason given officially, but following his controversial history with some other promotions, it might not be a good sign for his prospects. Fightful Select reported that differences arose in regards to Fatu’s payment rate.

Aside from one match in House Of Glory, Fatu hasn’t competed at all since GCW’s statement was issued.

Booker T Sees Great Potential In Zilla Fatu

Just because he is part of the Anoa’i family doesn’t instantly mean that Zilla Fatu has the potential of a star, but somehow this family continues to churn out talent, and Fatu is seen as one of them – by none other than Hall Of Famer Booker T, who has worked plenty with him so far. When speaking after Fatu’s GCW exit, Booker spoke on his Hall Of Fame podcast about WWE being the next step for him. (h/t WrestlingInc)

“Zilla had an incident with GCW — I’m not sure exactly [what the] full details are. One side says one thing, the other side says another. My thing is, we concentrate on Reality of Wrestling, and I cannot think of anything other than trying to get that young man — Zilla, because he’s talent — get him to the next level. And the next level, for me, for Zilla is the WWE. That’s his landing zone. That’s his safe zone, with his family.”

Fans are becoming more and more in tune with who exactly Jacob Fatu is, with him taking a lot of the spotlight since joining The Bloodline faction. It wasn’t long ago that he was teaming up with cousin Zilla Fatu outside of WWE.

The pair teamed up four times in winning efforts in GCW in 2024, before Jacob Fatu was snapped up and signed by WWE.

His son, Zilla Fatu, is set to carry on his legacy in professional wrestling. Umaga tragically passed away in the year 2009 at just 36 years of age.

Just at the age of 15, he was charged with aggravated robbery and spent 6 years in Texas State Penitentiary, before being released in March 2022. After his release, Zilla would work his way into the world of pro wrestling, with guidance from a WWE Hall of Famer who knows a couple of things about getting arrested.

His stint in the promotion would not be the longest though, as he would leave Reality of Wrestling just 3 months later, citing irreconcilable differences. Since his departure, Zilla began to make waves in Game Changer Wrestling.

He has also delivered a pop-up variation on occasion, in addition to the regular version of the move.
