But the situation has changed now as the female wrestlers have stepped up to the game and are both earning and getting equal exposure as the male wrestlers.

WWE also had a similar structure back in the day and called their female superstars “Divas” for a long time. But even then, some wrestlers like Trish Stratus, Lita, Mickie James, and many others rose up to the occasion and gave the male wrestlers tough competition.

With that said, let’s take a closer look at some former WWE female wrestlers’ personal lives and see five of those who are now mothers and five who have no children.

Has Children – Mickie James

She Has A Child With SmackDown’s GM

When Mickie James was a full-time competitor, she was a true legend inside the squared circle. She competed in WWE, TNA, NWA, and more. During her time in the business, she managed to gain numerous accolades to her name.

Currently, James works for Ohio Valley Wrestling as a Creative Director, Head of Female Talent, and Executive Producer. James is also married to SmackDown’s General Manager, Nick Aldis. The two have one son, Donovan, together.

She Was Fandango’s Dancer In WWE

Summer Rae joined WWE in 2011. Before she became a member of the main roster, Rae spent a lot of time in WWE’s developmental territories. That included stints in NXT and FCW, where she was the General Manager of the brand for a bit.

On the main roster, Rae was most notably Fandango’s dance partner. In addition, she was also involved in a few storylines here and there, most infamously was her storyline involving Dolph Ziggler, Lana and Rusev. She ended up leaving WWE in 2017.

As of writing, Rae has no children.

Is A Mother – Beth Phoenix

She Is Married To The Rated-R Superstar

Many remember the “Glamazon” as one of the most dominant women to have ever stepped foot into a WWE ring. She was a one-time Divas Champion, holding the title for 204 days. In addition, she also captured the Women’s Championship on three occassions.

Phoenix had a longer tenure in WWE. While remained largely out of the ring after 2012, she made a few appearances here and there. She also was a commentator for NXT as well.

Phoenix is married to current AEW star and WWE Hall of Famer, Adam Copeland (aka Edge). The couple have two daughters together, named Lyric Rose Copeland and Ruby Ever Copeland.

Has No Children – Layla

She Was A Two-Time Champion

Layla made her WWE debut by winning the 2006 WWE Diva Search and went on to become a two-time Women’s Champion with the company. She’s also well-known for her time in the Lay-Cool tag team with Michelle McCool.

2015 turned out to be her final year as an active in-ring competitor as she underwent surgery in January and ended up announcing her retirement in July.

She is married to former wrestler Ricky Ortiz, who also worked for WWE between 2006 and 2009, and the couple have been together since November 2015 but have no children as of now.

Is A Mother – Rosa Mendes

She Had A Lot Of Roles In WWE

Rosa Mendes also made her first WWE appearance as part of the 2006 WWE Diva Search, but became a full-time performer for the company in 2008 when she debuted as Beth Phoenix’s intern.

She worked mostly as an enhancement talent on WWE television and put over major stars, but she managed to stay with the company for 11 years and left in 2017.

She and her partner, musician, and clothing company owner, Bobby Schubenski, welcomed their first child in February 2016, a daughter named Jordan Elizabeth.

Has No Children – Lilian Garcia

She Is One Of WWE’s Most Famous Announcers

Lilian Garcia is one of the most iconic ring announcers in WWE history, as she captivated wrestling fans with her voice and announcing style. She worked for the company first between 1999 and 2008 and left for a brief period before returning in 2011 and staying there until 2016.

Apart from being a ring announcer, Garcia was also part of several storylines, including a romantic angle with Viscera. She left the company in 2016 and has made sporadic appearances for the company over the years.

She’s been married twice and has recently gotten divorced from her second husband, and had no children from both relationships.

Is A Mother – Candice Michelle

She Has Three Daughters

Candice Michelle made her WWE debut in 2004 and was part of the company until 2009. In that period, she went on to become a one-time Women’s Champion, and she also won the 24/7 Championship when she made a return on the Raw Reunion episode on July 22, 2019.

She married Ken Gee Ehrlich, a Los Angeles chiropractor, in May 2005, and the couple had their first daughter on May 23, 2010. They went on to have two more daughters born on October 2012 and July 2015.

She Is Currently Engaged

Alicia Fox is a former one-time WWE Divas Champion and 24/7 Champion who competed for the company between 2006 and 2020. After two years on the developmental territories, Alicia Fox made her main roster debut in 2008 and had her defining moment when she won the Divas Championship for the first time by defeating Maryse, Gail Kim, and Eve Torress at the 2010 Fatal-4-Way PPV.

She dated former WWE superstar Wade Barrett between 2010 and 2012, and she is currently engaged to musician Michael Fitzgerald but has no children from both relationships as of now.

Is A Mother – Eve Torres

Eve Torres found her way into WWE by winning the 2007 WWE Diva Search contest and earned herself a developmental contract. After training in OVW, Torres made her main roster debut in February 2008 and soon went on to become a major star in the women’s division.

She is a former 3-time Divas Champion and is the first one to accomplish that feat. She worked for the company until 2013 but made several sporadic appearances over the years.

She married Rener Gracie in 2014, and the couple have two sons together, who were born in 2015 and 2018.

Has No Children – Gail Kim

She Is A Legend Of The Business

Gail Kim is one of the legendary female wrestlers of the pro wrestling industry who has won numerous championships across various promotions. She signed her first contract with WWE in 2002 and made her main roster debut in June 2003.

She went on to become a 1-time WWE Women’s Champion and had a brief run with the title. She had two runs with the company and is also an established star in Impact Wrestling, where she is a former 7-time Knockouts Champion.

She married celebrity chef Robert Irvine in May 2012, and the couple does not have any children as of now.

Is A Mother – Kelly Kelly

She Has No Experience Before WWE

Kelly Kelly is one of the many divas WWE hired just for their looks despite having no prior in-ring experience. It was John Laurinaitis who brought Kelly Kelly into WWE, and she soon learned the ways of the trade and became a decent performer and even went on to become a one-time Divas Champion.

Kelly Kelly has been in several relationships over the years and has been married twice. She married her current husband, bodybuilder Joe Coba in April 2021, and the couple announced they’re expecting their first child in March 2023, but she revealed that she’s expecting twins the following month. Her two children were born in September 2023.

Has No Children – AJ Lee

She Was A Trailblazer For WWE

AJ Lee found her way into WWE after she paid $1,500 to attend a WWE tryout camp in May 2009 and got offered a developmental contract with the company. After training for a while in FCW, she became part of the third season of NXT with Primo as her Pro.

She made her main roster debut in May 2011 and soon became an integral part of WWE television and was part of various storylines. She went on to become a 3-time Divas Champion and announced her retirement in 2015.

She married former WWE and AEW World Champion CM Punk in June 2014, and the couple has no children together as of now.
