But the situation has changed now as the female wrestlers have stepped up to the game and are both earning and getting equal exposure as the male wrestlers.

WWE also had a similar structure back in the day and called their female superstars “Divas” for a long time. But even then, some wrestlers like Trish Stratus, Lita, Mickie James, and many others rose up to the occasion and gave the male wrestlers tough competition.

With that said, let’s take a closer look at some former WWE female wrestlers’ personal lives and see five of those who are now mothers and five who have no children.

WWE has produced special moments that fans will never forget, but also some awful ones. Nobody can defend these absolutely horrible booking ideas.

When Mickie James was a full-time competitor, she was a true legend inside the squared circle. She competed in WWE, TNA, NWA, and more. During her time in the business, she managed to gain numerous accolades to her name.

Currently, James works for Ohio Valley Wrestling as a Creative Director, Head of Female Talent, and Executive Producer. James is also married to SmackDown’s General Manager, Nick Aldis. The two have one son, Donovan, together.

Summer Rae joined WWE in 2011. Before she became a member of the main roster, Rae spent a lot of time in WWE’s developmental territories. That included stints in NXT and FCW, where she was the General Manager of the brand for a bit.

On the main roster, Rae was most notably Fandango’s dance partner. In addition, she was also involved in a few storylines here and there, most infamously was her storyline involving Dolph Ziggler, Lana and Rusev. She ended up leaving WWE in 2017.

As of writing, Rae has no children.

Many remember the “Glamazon” as one of the most dominant women to have ever stepped foot into a WWE ring. She was a one-time Divas Champion, holding the title for 204 days. In addition, she also captured the Women’s Championship on three occassions.

Phoenix had a longer tenure in WWE. While remained largely out of the ring after 2012, she made a few appearances here and there. She also was a commentator for NXT as well.

Phoenix is married to current AEW star and WWE Hall of Famer, Adam Copeland (aka Edge). The couple have two daughters together, named Lyric Rose Copeland and Ruby Ever Copeland.

Layla made her WWE debut by winning the 2006 WWE Diva Search and went on to become a two-time Women’s Champion with the company. She’s also well-known for her time in the Lay-Cool tag team with Michelle McCool.

2015 turned out to be her final year as an active in-ring competitor as she underwent surgery in January and ended up announcing her retirement in July.

She is married to former wrestler Ricky Ortiz, who also worked for WWE between 2006 and 2009, and the couple have been together since November 2015 but have no children as of now.

She and her partner, musician, and clothing company owner, Bobby Schubenski, welcomed their first child in February 2016, a daughter named Jordan Elizabeth.

Apart from being a ring announcer, Garcia was also part of several storylines, including a romantic angle with Viscera. She left the company in 2016 and has made sporadic appearances for the company over the years.

She’s been married twice and has recently gotten divorced from her second husband, and had no children from both relationships.

Her two children were born in September 2023.
