John Laurinaitis Entrance

On a recent episode of The Nikki & Brie Show podcast, Kathy Colace, mother of the Garcia Twins (most popularly known as the Bella Twins), confirmed her divorce from John Laurinaitis. A former WWE executive, Laurinaitis has been implicated in a high-profile lawsuit that includes Vince McMahon. The lawsuit, filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant, accuses McMahon and Laurinaitis of sexual assault and trafficking.

John Laurinaitis has quickly emerged as one of the most controversial figures in WWE history based on his backstage reputation.

This scandal shocked the wrestling world and led to McMahon stepping down from his role within the TKO Group, while Laurinaitis’ involvement has garnered widespread condemnation, including from the Garcia Twins, who released a statement expressing their dismay and disbelief at the allegations. Bryan Danielson, Brie Garcia’s husband, also commented on the McMahon and Laurinaitis accusations.

Kathy Colace’s decision to divorce Laurinaitis follows the growing pressure and the mounting allegations against him, which have deeply affected their family. Although Laurinaitis has denied the accusations, the legal and public backlash seems to have played a part in the split. She opened up about her experience, sharing that it has been an emotionally challenging time, but she emphasized the importance of allowing oneself to fully feel all the emotions during such difficult periods:

As a person going through it, you need to feel anger and heartbreak and sadness and recovery. Our body is made to feel emotion and when you tuck an emotion away, it will find its way out. So my recommendation to anyone going through anything challenging: Give yourself some grace, allow yourself to feel all the emotions that you will feel, and sit in silence and appreciate yourself because you will get through this. And if you need outside help to get through it, seek outside help.
