Wrestling Veteran Warns: Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther at WWE Crown Jewel ‘Won’t Be Pretty!’

A wrestling veteran has made a bold claim ahead of the upcoming champion vs. champion match between Cody Rhodes and Gunther. The two superstars will lock horns at the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event next month.

At WWE Bad Blood, Triple H unveiled the Crown Jewel Championship. Hunter announced that the World Heavyweight Champion and the Undisputed WWE Champion will compete for the title at Crown Jewel on November 2. Wrestling veteran Arn Anderson recently previewed the much-anticipated match between the two champions.

Speaking on his ARN podcast via The Four Horsemen Network, the WWE Hall of Famer stated that The American Nightmare needs challenges. Anderson pointed out that Cody Rhodes is confident in his abilities. However, the veteran believes the match against The Ring General will be different, stating it will not be pretty and slick.

“Cody [Rhodes] needs challenges. He needs tests. He needs to be able to go beyond what he even believes he’s able to, and I know he bets on himself, and he’s confident in his abilities. But when you have a guy like that, that’s gonna be a different kind of match. It’s not gonna be pretty, it’s not gonna be slick. Gonna have to stand in there and bang on that, so look forward to it,” he said. [From 2:27 to 2:58]

Wrestling legend Bully Ray recently predicted the outcome of the champion vs. champion match at the upcoming premium live event in Saudi Arabia.

Speaking on The Busted Open podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer predicted Gunther will emerge victorious and become the inaugural Crown Jewel Champion. Bully Ray believes Kevin Owens will cost Cody Rhodes the match and amplify his rivalry with the latter.

“I think at the Saudi show, neither one can get the win clean. My personal opinion is, the way out of it, little chicanery, maybe a ref bump or behind the ref’s back, something something, Owens interferes. It’s quick, Owens and Cody have the animosity, Gunther gets the win, raises the championship above his head. The next week, RAW or SmackDown, now we’re off to the races with Kevin and Cody,” he said.
