If Kevin Owens was frustrated about unequal air time before, he’s going to be furious now.
A day after Owens expressed his frustration with WWE for not letting him explain why he attacked Cody Rhodes at Bad Blood, the company gave Randy Orton a platform to vent instead. At a live event in Manchester, England, on Wednesday, Orton looked into the camera and issued a warning to KO.
“Hey, Owens. Once I get back to the States, once I get back across the pond, I’m coming for ya, and I’m whippin’ your ass. You got one comin’.”
Last Friday on SmackDown, Owens, who had been suspended for his actions against Rhodes, showed up unannounced to share his side of the story. After his microphone was cut off, Orton came out to calm him down, which led to a brief exchange of blows before Owens walked off.
Later in the show, Owens attacked Orton outside the arena. Security footage captured what looked like a heated conversation before Owens landed a cheap shot on Orton. On Tuesday, Owens posted on X, stating that he sent WWE a video explaining his actions against Rhodes. However, WWE did not air the video, prompting Owens to issue an ultimatum.
“Look, the last thing I want to do is to do this on social media because I hate it,” said Owens. “So, I’m giving them until Friday, this Friday on SmackDown, to air my video so that people can hear what I have to say. If they don’t, then I guess I’ll post it here.”
While Owens didn’t address his assault on Orton in his video, he wore an R-KO t-shirt. For now, it seems that the grudge between Orton and Owens exists primarily on Orton’s side.
