In Pictures: Novak Djokovic Stuns in Sheikh Attire, Shares Highlights from Glamorous Desert Photoshoot in Riyadh

Novak Djokovic is making the most of his time in Saudi Arabia after the Six Kings Slam, striking poses in a stunning desert-themed photoshoot. The Serb embraced the local culture by donning traditional Sheikh attire for the shoot.

Djokovic recently competed at the Six Kings Slam exhibition in Riyadh, where he received a bye into the semifinals. The World No. 4 fell short against Jannik Sinner in their battle for a spot in the final, suffering a 6-2, 6-7(0), 6-4 loss. Nevertheless, the Serb secured third place by beating Rafael Nadal 6-2, 7-6(5) in what is likely to be their final meeting before the Spaniard’s retirement.

Following the conclusion of the “Sand Slam” exhibition event, the 24-time Grand Slam champion posed for photographs in an eye-catching printed shirt. Novak Djokovic also donned a Sheikh outfit and posed against the scenic desert views in Riyadh, sharing eye-catching pictures on social media.

“Sand slam ️,” he posted on Instagram.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion recently also showed off his “kingdom style” while exploring Riyadh, posing at stunning cultural landmarks in a striking patterned jacket, black jeans and matching sunglasses.

“Kingdom style ,” the Serb captioned his Instagram post.

Djokovic’s photoshoot garnered a positive response from fans, prompting his wife Jelena to hilariously warn the other women in the comments section to “calm down.”

Novak Djokovic has been experimenting with fashion lately, notably garnering attention for the neon green tracksuit he sported during his time in China for the Asian swing. In an interview with TennisTV, the 37-year-old explained that the bold choice was inspired by 90s musicians.

The Serb credited his wife Jelena and industry professionals for helping him step out of the box when it came to fashion and move away from his usual “conservative” style.

“I’m receiving some help now from of course my wife and also some friends and people that are in fashion, I’m getting some advice and I’m starting to expand on what I can wear and what I wasn’t wearing for a long time and I started to like it a little bit more,” he said.
“I paid more attention to it. I wasn’t really caring as much for fashion in the past off the court. It was more kind of conservative type of jeans or chinos and polo and that was kind of my vibe for a long time but now I’m stepping out of the box a little bit,” he added.

Novak Djokovic will be back in action for his title defense at the 2024 Paris Masters, scheduled to commence on October 28. The Serb will be joined by his fellow Six Kings Slam participants, Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev and Holger Rune, at the Masters 1000 event in the French capital.
