All eyes were on Aryna Sabalenka and Georgios Frangulis when they first stepped out together in April 2024, instantly sparking buzz. Whether relaxing after a grueling tournament or simply enjoying life’s sweeter moments, Sabalenka has fully embraced Frangulis’ passion project, Oakberry. The 26-year-old has often been spotted indulging in Oakberry’s superfood treats alongside her entrepreneur boyfriend.
The Belarusian star recently featured in the Wuhan Open and defeated home favorite Zheng Qinwen in the final a week ago to win her second Wuhan Open title in overwhelming form. After the grueling week, Sabalenka is enjoying her time off the court, as she shared a series of pictures chilling with her boyfriend and enjoying Oakberry drinks. Along with that, she wrote, “couldn’t be more perfect.” In addition, she also tagged the official Instagram page of her boyfriend and his brand.
Sabalenka then shared another picture, enjoying her time on the beach, as she shared a cute moment with her boyfriend. The couple looked carefree, enjoying the sun, sand, and each other’s company.
Georgios Frangulis, Sabalenka’s boyfriend, could also have been a lawyer. He studied law in Brazil, but he decided not to sit for the Brazilian Bar Exam or finish his degree. Frangulis finally carved out a distinct career for himself as an entrepreneur since he had other goals in mind. In a past interview, he stated, “I always knew I wouldn’t be a lawyer. What I really wanted was to be an entrepreneur.”
Georgios Frangulis established Oakberry, a superfood company that specializes in açaí goods, in December 2016. Moreover, Frangulis has always highlighted sustainability as one of the company’s guiding principles. Speaking to Forbes Brazil, he highlighted the importance of preserving Açaí’s origins. He explained, “Açaí, as a fruit, only exists because of the subsistence culture of riverside communities in the Amazon Rainforest.”
Apart from pursuing his business ventures, Frangulis has also been a pillar of strength for Sabalenka. He was there by her side in New York when Sabalenka won the US Open title for the first time. Frangulis also gave her a unique nickname after that.
Sabalenka went all out in a thrilling match against Jessica Pegula in the US Open final. She won her second Grand Slam championship of the season and solidified her position even further as one of the top players in the world. It also brought her an incredible $3.6 million in prize money. Subsequently, Georgios Frangulis shared his happiness on social media as the celebrations got underway.
Frangulis posted a series of photos on Instagram that captured the essence of Sabalenka’s victory. Overflowing with pride, the entrepreneur couldn’t help but express his affection in the caption, as he wrote “I’m in love with the Queen of NY,” perfectly encapsulating the bliss of the moment.
Sabalenka now has the opportunity to end the season as the no. 1 player in the world as she is closing the gap on Iga Swiatek in the WTA rankings. The performance of the two players in the WTA finals will go a long way in determining who finishes the season as the World No. 1. Sabalenka is in with a chance and with Frangulis by her side supporting her every step of the way, she will be confident of pulling it off.
