American singer Taylor Swift is reportedly playing home coach to her NFL beau Travis Kelce.
The ‘Shake it Off’ hitmaker, aged 34, has been romantically linked with the NFL star, also 34, since the previous summer and seems to be giving him a crash course in domestic life, as per his mum’s revelations.
Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce, aged 71, spilled the beans to Extra TV about her Super Bowl champ son’s lack of domestic prowess: “He can’t clean. He can’t cook… (but he’s) getting a little better.” With a hint of humor, she suggested that Taylor might be behind his improving homemaking skills, saying: “I think he’s getting some help.”
After wrapping up the European stretch of her ‘Eras’ tour in mid-August, Taylor is currently enjoying some downtime before she hits the stage again in Miami come mid-October. Travis has been seen cheering on the pop sensation during her tour, notably at her London Wembley Stadium performance on 23 June, where he donned a tux for a playful skit that had Taylor feigning fainting.
Donna’s mention of Taylor followed comments from Travis’s brother Jason Kelce, an ex-Philadelphia Eagles player, who confessed to being daunted by the singer’s mega-fame. Speaking to the ’94WIP Morning Show’, the 36 year old Jason remarked: “It’s a lot. There’s a lot of people paying attention at all times, which is positive and negative at times.”
He further noted the challenges of maintaining privacy and living a normal life under the constant gaze that comes with Taylor’s level of stardom. He praised the way she’s handled fame, remarking, “I think that she’s built up such a fan base and a contingency and an amount of people that really, really just, like, love her that it’s really cool at the same time.”
Jason also confessed that he and Travis have never quite reached the intense devotion Taylor commands from fans. He reflected on the longevity and impact of her career, saying: “When I think of, like, big names in music that have sustained over such a long time, and the way she has (fame), it feels like all of them kind of get to that.” He pointed out that Taylor is now on par with the
greats, comparing her to Bruce Springsteen: “She’s at that, like, Bruce Springsteen (level) like, tied.”
