Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is one of the biggest stars in the history of WWE, but his time at the top of the card is far from over.

All signs point to the dream match between The Rock and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 41 in 2025, but how the two Superstars get there, and the role Cody Rhodes will play en route, will be the main focal point of the company over the next several months.

Johnson’s return to the top of the WrestleMania card will begin at Survivor Series 2024. Reigns is currently waging war against the New Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and Jacob Fatu.

Reigns is looking to regain power of the Bloodline and is rebuilding his stable from the ground up. With Jimmy Uso already by his side and efforts being made to recruit Jey, the former world champion may eventually turn to Rhodes as the group’s fourth man.

The star-studded battle between factions should take place at Survivor Series in a War Games match, with the result ultimately being decided by The Rock when he attacks Rhodes and costs the good guys the victory.

Coming out of the November showcase, Rhodes and Reigns both would have a gripe against Johnson, with The Rock choosing to focus solely on Rhodes and his Undisputed WWE Championship.

At Royal Rumble 2025, Johnson should get a shot at Rhodes and his title, ultimately defeating the former AEW Superstar in a hard-fought match and taking his place as the true leader of the New Bloodline, flanked by Sikoa and the rest of the faction.

While The Rock is focused on defending his title in a rematch against Rhodes at whatever premium live event WWE sticks between WrestleMania and the Royal Rumble—likely Elimination Chamber—Reigns should be focused on taking back the title of Tribal Chief.

Using interference again, Johnson should retain the world title in his rematch with Rhodes, leading to Reigns hitting the ring to spoil the celebration and set his sights on taking the gold and power back at WrestleMania 41.

The following month or so of WWE Programming would be built on the physical interactions between each man’s stable, but the war of words between The Rock and Reigns will be the main focal point, setting the stage for their epic encounter in Las Vegas.

Finally, with all the possible fanfare, The Rock and Reigns would stand toe-to-toe in the middle of the ring in the main event of the biggest wrestling show of the year. With the WWE Universe at a fever pitch, the two performers would wage an in-ring war until only one is left standing.

Before he heads back to Hollywood, Johnson will do his cousin a favor and put him over for the championship, setting up Reigns as the undisputed Head of the Table and the cornerstone of the company’s future.

The Rock will be back eventually, but he will acknowledge the Tribal Chief on his way out.
