Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce put on a united front as they arrived at the US Open after being forced to speak out against breakup rumors.

A “leaked contract” had been circulating on social media, claiming to show the date the pair would announce they had split. However, Travis slammed the claims and the couple looked defiant as they held hands while watching the tennis in Queens.

Taylor and Travis put on a stylish display as she wore an adorable red gingham dress and he opted for matching cream shorts and cardigan. Travis led his girlfriend through the crowd and body language expert Judi James believes that despite their best efforts to hide it, the couple showed off “a hint of the pressure they might have felt under” amid the split rumors.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror US, James said: “Following all the drama of the previous couple of days, Travis and Taylor seem to be parading their response in an emphatic way. In her ‘cute’ red gingham dress with matching lipstick, Taylor is signaling pure American Sweetheart vibes, going on a date with her guy.

They walked through the crowd holding hands

“Travis has his hand slung into his pocket in a gesture that looks intended to suggest nonchalance and his rather swaggering walk matches that look.” The expert then suggested there was a slight mismatch in the pair’s body language.

James explained: “Taylor’s chattier mood to the people around is only partly matched by Travis’s mouth shrug smiles that suggest a hint of the pressure they might have felt under. His hand is firmly on top in the hand clasp though, suggesting a desire to both lead and protect Taylor, an idea endorsed by his other rituals with her where he was very carefully attending to her using the same kind of gentlemanly behaviors that he used back on some of their first public dates.”

Taylor and Travis seemed to have plenty of fun at the US Open as they were seen playfully serenading each other as they sang along to I Believe In A Thing Called Love by The Darkness.

Their date night came after a document was posted on social media which claimed their relationship has been a publicity stunt. The document alleged they would announce their split on September 28.

It outlined an alleged plan to release an official statement that would be “gracious, respectful and stress mutual respect”. However, Travis’ representatives have slammed the document as false.

A spokesman for Full Scope, the PR agency the document is said to have come from, insisted the document was “entirely false and fabricated and were not created, issued or authorized by this agency”. They also said they have called in lawyers, although they are not expected to find the culprit.

“We have engaged our legal team to initiate proceedings against the individuals or entities responsible for the unlawful and injurious forgery of documents,” they said.
