Oba Femi was confident and cocky in his destruction of Tony D’Angelo until the D’Angelo Family arrived to help. The Ruler was unable to deal with the number’s game and fell after a spinebuster from The Don through a table.
After promising a TLC match through Wednesday, D’Angelo and Femi delivered a Street Fight with more chairs and tables than ladders.
The chemistry the two showcased in previous matches was not on display in a contest that a bit too focused on hitting the spots rather than telling its story.
The strongest story element was the weakest in-ring action after The Family arrived. The pacing crawled to a halt and made the ending about everyone but The Don himself.
At least the right man won, and Femi’s credibility was kept intact with the messy finish. The Ruler should start his ascent to the NXT Championship scene.
Result
D’Angelo def. Femi by pinfall to retain the North American Championship.
