Anthony Davis explains his severe injuries

Shooter Anthony Davis appeared in the Los Angeles Lakers’ most recent game (December 31), when the team won the Atlanta Hawks with a score of 130-121. The star also did not hesitate to appear in front of the media and share details about his injury.

“I feel better, the pain has decreased a lot. I don’t want to talk about a specific time to return but I feel like the injury is recovering quite quickly,” ESPN quoted Davis.

Accordingly, a small bone spur was broken from Anthony Davis’s right metatarsal bone. In addition, the star’s right ankle and toes also showed signs of serious damage since the match on December 17.

Davis said he had an MRI scan of his foot on December 22. The Los Angeles Lakers then sent the images to five doctors and podiatrists to determine a recovery plan for Davis. The most likely option was for Anthony Davis to undergo minor surgery to remove the bone spur. One doctor speculated that the bone spur had been present in Davis’ foot for more than 10 years but had not caused the star any problems.

“I don’t like surgery. I feel like if you can avoid it, you should avoid it,” Davis said, declining surgery to treat his injuries.

Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers medical staff have decided to choose a rest plan with some additional methods to recover from the injury. According to experts, although he can recover temporarily at this time, the possibility of Anthony Davis needing surgery next season is very high.

It can be seen that the Los Angeles Lakers’ main shooter wants to return to play as soon as possible to help the team in the 2022-2023 season. If he recovers well, Anthony Davis can return after 4 weeks and participate in the final stage of the season. Currently, the Los Angeles Lakers are having a very difficult time, ranking 13th out of 15 teams in the NBA Western Conference standings.
