Taylor Fritz’s girlfriend Morgan Riddle suffered a scare as she got stuck in an elevator ahead of her reunion with the tennis player at the 2024 Paris Masters. Riddle narrated the incident on social media, adding that she was eventually escorted out by a rescue team.

Fritz, who enjoyed a brief break following his Shanghai Masters semifinal loss to Novak Djokovic, is gearing up for the Paris Masters which will be held from 28 October to 3 November. The American is the fifth seed at the event and has received a bye in the opening round. He will kick off his campaign against either Jack Draper or Jiri Lehecka in the second round.

Ahead of his campaign, Taylor Fritz, who celebrates his 27th birthday today, 28 October, was expected to reunite with his girlfriend of four years, Morgan Riddle. It appears, though, that the social media influencer did not enjoy a smooth trip to Paris.

Riddle said on social media that she was stuck in an elevator, seemingly before reaching their hotel room. In a video shared on Instagram, she was seen frantically pressing the emergency alarm and knocking on the door. Fritz’s girlfriend also revealed that this was her third such incident in as many months. She wrote,

“Why do I keep getting stuck in elevators?! My 3rd time in as many months. I hateee it “

Riddle, who sat on the floor with her luggage beside her, was eventually helped out of the elevator by hotel staff who forcefully pushed the door open.

She wrote,

The social media influencer said that her flight to the French capital was delayed. She also said she had a mishap with her baggage, seemingly hinting that a few of her beauty products opened midair and leaked out. Adding a couple of possibly sarcastic smileys, Riddle wrote,

“Also had a delayed flight and *multiple* explosions in my suitcase that were so bad it was leaking all over the baggage claim “

Following their presence at this week’s Paris Masters, Taylor Fritz and his girlfriend Morgan Riddle will hope to be traveling to Turin, Italy, for the 2024 Nitto ATP Finals. The 2024 US Open finalist is presently fifth in the race and less than 20 points away from making the cut.
