Looking calm and collected in the post-game interview as pandemonium surrounded him, the Washington quarterback said that he owed everything to God, who had guided him through his entire journey and who he felt was guiding him now as well.

Thanking the divine intervention on the aptly named play, the Commanders’ rookie also acknowledged that he dedicated his return from a rib injury last week to the power of God. He said,

“Nothing but God, man, Nothing but God. Without Him, I don’t think I would be playing this week. All glory to God.”

Washington fans might agree with him as they have every right to feel blessed watching the quarterback play for them week in and week out, especially after how he eked out a seemingly improbable victory in the dying moments today.
