A WWE legend is set to make a massive appearance soon on the NXT brand. Interestingly, Cathy Kelley recently spoke with him before his return. Now, the interviewer has reacted to William Regal’s comeback to oversee a major title match.
The 56-year-old is the Vice-President of Global Talent Development at the Stamford-based promotion. While interviewing him, Cathay Kelley asked about his reasons for supporting Lexis King in the NXT Heritage Cup match against Charlie Dempsey.
Regal noted that he looked forward to his appearance on the Tuesday Night show and believed King was a talented wrestler. He also highlighted that he knew his father, Brian Pillman. The promotion posted the video of this interview on its official X account, and reacting to it, Cathy Kelley sent a message.
“a lil black and gold reunion 🥹 @RealKingRegal @WWENXT,” wrote Kelley.
William Regal’s return was announced at the Halloween Havoc premium live event. Interestingly, legend Bully Ray had helped Trick Williams at the PLE against Ethan Page and former Chase University member Ridge Holland.
It would be interesting to see if Regal becomes the second legend to help out another star in such a short period.
