Jannik Sinner will not be able to participate in the final ATP 1000 tournament of the year due to health problems.
According to the latest information, world number one tennis player Jannik Sinner has announced his withdrawal from the 2024 Paris Masters. Currently, Sinner will focus on recovering his health, due to a strange illness that forced him to withdraw from the tournament. When announcing this news, Sinner expressed his disappointment.
“I’m very disappointed to have to announce that I can’t compete here. I came very early to prepare, but then I fell ill, and now I have a virus, which will last for the next two to three days, so physically, I’m not ready to compete.”
“I’m so, so, so sorry about this. I’ll see you all next year. Hopefully it’ll still be a great year without me, and hopefully next year will be even more successful.”

Sinner said he had been feeling unwell since his first training session and had spoken to his doctor to find out why. Although he felt better when he announced his withdrawal, Sinner knew he would not be able to compete at his best, and so he chose to withdraw.
“After the first training session, I felt really bad. I spoke to the doctor on Sunday, and it was a virus, which will make you feel better in three to four days. Today I feel a little better, but my body is still not ready to play and is very weak. There is no point in going out and trying to compete in this tournament.”
“Very disappointed, because this is the tournament where I wanted to test my level. It was one of my main goals this week, but unfortunately I couldn’t do it,” Sinner confided.
Asked if his withdrawal was related to the upcoming ATP Finals and Davis Cup Finals, Sinner admitted that the ATP Finals event in Turin would be his main focus. But for now, his priority will be to recover.
While Sinner’s withdrawal will be disappointing for him and his fans, some in Paris may be pleased that home player Arthur Cazaux will replace him in the main draw.
