The Rock commands one of the most influential positions in the world of sports and entertainment, coming to prominence as a WWE superstar and later transitioning into a bonafide Hollywood actor. He became an integral part of the road to WrestleMania 40 this year, engaging in a heated feud with Cody Rhodes.
However, following Rhodes’ triumphant victory at the event, The Rock had an intense promo segment with him on the RAW after WrestleMania and went on hiatus. With months of The Rock’s absence, here are the five why The Final Boss should make his return at WWE Bad Blood 2024:
The Rock’s feud with Cody Rhodes as part of the Bloodline was a highly engaging narrative for WWE earlier this year. However, The Great One can return to WWE Bad Blood to begin a new feud against the man in charge of the show, WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque, in a battle of power struggle. Citing his position as a member of the TKO Board, The Rock would return to Bad Blood for his mission of complete takeover from The Game.
The Rock was part of the very first WWE Bad Blood show in 1997, where he competed in a Handicap match as part of Nation of Domination to battle The L.O.D. The Final Boss could make a sporadic appearance to celebrate the revival of the show while hinting at his future involvement in WWE television programming soon.
For years, fans have been longing to see a heated feud between The Rock and Roman Reigns, which almost came to fruition earlier this year for WrestleMania 40, until they sided with Cody Rhodes. However, The Final Boss can make his return to plant seeds for a future rivalry with The OTC at Bad Blood, maybe with a confrontation to set the stage for this dream match next year.
Before The Rock left WWE in April, he vowed to return to WWE to go after Cody Rhodes. The Rock could return to Bad Blood, choosing to target Rhodes following his tag team match at the show and beginning the build-up to their anticipated match, most likely to take place at WrestleMania 41, as per speculations.
WWE Bad Blood will see Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu competing against Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. At the end of the match, there is a dramatic twist, with Solo and Jacob winning, followed by the return of The Rock. The Final Boss could reveal himself as the mastermind behind the new Bloodline and begin his feud with Roman Reigns and his OG Bloodline, who are expected to reunite soon.
