Taylor Swift has gone award-show official with her boyfriend Travis Kelce, because after a year of dating, the pop star gave her NFL star beau the sweetest shoutout during her acceptance speech at the 2024 MTV VMAs. While accepting the award for Video of the Year for “Fortnight,” Swift shared what a big support her boyfriend had been on the set of the video.

“This video seems really sad when you watch but it was actually really fun to make,” she explained, adding that there was always one person cheering each time they would finish a take. “And that person was my boyfriend Travis,” she gushed before the crowd erupted into cheers. “Everything that man touches turns into happiness and fun and magic and I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot.”

Earlier in the night, Swift and Post Malone took home the award for Best Collaboration for “Fortnight,” in addition to Song of the Summer, Best Direction, and Best Editing. Swift also won in the Artist of the Year and Best Pop categories.

Swift arrived on the carpet in a Reputation-coded plaid Christian Dior bustier and matching open-front skirt which she paired with hot pants. During the show, Swift slipped into a bedazzled Monse minidress that depicted a UFO hovering above a grassy meadow. She styled the out-of-this-world frock with thigh-high boots.

Just days before thanking her bf for the first time during an acceptance speech, the beloved couple enjoyed the sights and sounds of New York City. On Saturday, the two attended a friend’s wedding before sipping on some Honey Deuces and jamming out at the U.S. Open on Sunday. Later, the two met up with friends Patrick and Brittany Mahomes for a double date.
