WWE Champion Leaves John Cena, The Rock, and The Undertaker Off His Wrestling Mount Rushmore as He Reveals His GOATs

WWE icon Gunther has revealed his top four greatest wrestlers of all time as part of the viral Mount Rushmore trend and snubbed two huge modern day superstars from his list.

After becoming a main part of the WWE’s roster two-years ago, Gunther has gone on to become one of the organisation’s most-recognised athletes on his way to becoming Intercontinental Champion.

The Austrian – real name Walter Hahn – first began his career on the European circuit before being spotted by the biggest brand in professional wrestling and eventually transitioning to the WWE.

Now, Gunther has named his four greatest wrestlers ever after being asked for his picks as the part of the Mount Rushmore trend named after the iconic natural sculpture in the States.

The WWE is preparing to start their UK tour and Gunther, speaking to the Sun, named Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Eddie Guerrero and Kurt Angle as his four favourite fighters.

Two-time WWE Hall of Fame inductee, Shawn Michaels, is a legend in the sport

John Cena, The Rock, and The Undertaker were all amongst the most high-profile omissions despite being at their prominence during Gunther’s rise through the wrestling world.

Two-time WWE Hall of Fame inductee, Michaels, is one of the sport’s legendary figures both as a solo fighter and as part of the legendary D Generation X tag-team alongside Triple H.

Meanwhile, Triple H has gone on to carve himself out a career as WWE’s chief content officer after previously making himself one of the sport’s most decorated and influential wrestlers.

Triple H won the WWE Championship nine times throughout his iconic career, with his last major title coming in 2016 before eventually retiring.

Eddie Guerrero’s place amongst Gunther’s greatest’s is also well-deserved, with the Texas-born wrestler regarded as one of the WWE’s most charismatic stars and best storytellers.

He sadly passed away at just 38 on November 13, 2005, due to acute heart failure caused by cardiovascular disease with his sudden death shocking the wrestling world.

Olympic gold-winning medallist Kurt Angle was the final pick in Gunther’s four-fighter list and enjoyed a stunning career that saw him famously beat the likes of Cena and Michaels before retiring five-years ago.
