Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery—but is that what Brittany Mahomes tried to do with her latest game day look?
Mahomes shared a photo of her outfit at the Chiefs-Falcons game on Sunday, Sept. 22, that prompted some people to speculate that she was channeling Taylor Swift.
The soon-to-be mother of three was in Atlanta to support her husband, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, wearing an oversized bedazzled Kansas City Chiefs T-shirt over black biker shorts, and red patent leather cowboy boots paired with a red and black Chanel quilted mini flap purse. She completed the ensemble with loose fishtail pigtails, silver hoop earrings, and silver and gold bangles adorning her wrists.

However, the look prompted fans to accuse Mahomes of “copying” Taylor Swift, who rocked a T-shirt dress emblazoned with the Chiefs logo and thigh-high shiny black boots to the team’s Sept. 15 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Mahomes’ outfit received mixed reviews on social media, as some complimented the ensemble with heart and fire emojis, and others noted that it seemed like “She copied Taylor’s out from last week,” calling the WAG a “Swiftie copycat .”
Another user said it “Looks like an outfit Taylor would wear…Seems to be copying Taylor…” which prompted Mahomes’ fans to rush to her defense, replying that “she’s been wearing Chiefs gear YEARS before Taylor was on the scene. So more like Taylor is copying Brittany.”
