Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were fully prepared to deal with each other’s fame before launching their headline-making romance.
“They’ve built a lot of trust. They both knew what they signed up for and navigated it well,” a source told Us Weekly in an article published Wednesday.
The insider shared that the couple’s relationship has only grown stronger regardless of the intense attention surrounding them.
“They’re in love and don’t care what others think,” the source said, adding that Swift and Kelce have found a “good balance” between being in the spotlight and lying low together in private.
Another insider told the magazine that the Grammy winner and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 34, are “chill people” who enjoy their “downtime” away from prying eyes.
“Staying in is a luxury for them. They enjoy cooking dinner together. It’s a refreshing contrast to their [public] lives,” the second source said.
Kelce has his own dedicated fan base thanks to his stellar NFL career, in which he has already won three Super Bowl rings.
Meanwhile, Swift is on top of the world with her historic, ongoing Eras Tour.
The pair have shown their support for each other’s careers, with the athlete showing up to several of the pop star’s concerts around the world while she has become a fixture at his games at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.
Swift sweetly thanked Kelce in her 2024 MTV Video Music Awards speech while accepting the trophy for video of the year last week.
“I would always just hear someone cheering from across the studio where we were shooting [the ‘Fortnight’ music video],” she recalled to the star-studded audience.
“And that one person was my boyfriend, Travis. Everything this man touches turns into happiness and fun and magic, and I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot because I’ll always remember that.”
The singer also made some not-so-subtle references to their relationship on her “The Tortured Poets Department” album, which she dropped in April.
Swift most recently attended Kelce’s home game against the Cincinnati Bengals last Sunday, though it is unclear whether she will be in the stands this weekend when he faces off against the Atlanta Falcons.
The music superstar and the “New Heights” podcast co-host started dating last summer and, according to a Page Six source, are heading toward getting engaged any day now.
