WTA Star and Jannik Sinner’s Girlfriend Reveals: Footballers Are Sliding Into Her DMs

Anna Kalinskaya of Russia serves in her match against Olga Danilovic of Serbia during Ladies Open Lausanne on July 14, 2022

Now she’s dating Jannik Sinner, fellow tennis star Anna Kalinskaya has no time for the countless footballers who have taken their shot in her private messages on social media

Jannik Sinner’s girlfriend Anna Kalinskaya has revealed she’s been DM’d by “too many footballers” who she’s left on read.

Kalinskaya, who’s ranked 17th in the world by the WTA, began dating fellow tennis player Sinner earlier this year. The men’s world No.1 confirmed their relationship at the French Open, telling reporters: “I don’t like to talk about my private life much, but yes, Anna and I are dating.”

But it seems that message hasn’t yet got through to the multiple sports stars who have been sliding into Kalinskaya’s private messages on social media. During the Berlin Ladies Open, she was quizzed by the organisers about her social life.

They asked her who the most famous person to get in contact with her online was. She answered: “I don’t know, probably some football player, so I’m not gonna…. I don’t know, too many football players. So, I didn’t reply.”

It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise as her brother Nikolay, 30, plays professionally in their native Russia. He’s a central midfielder for FC Pari Nizhny Novgorod, who compete in the country’s Premier League.

Kalinskaya, meanwhile, reached the final in Berlin, her first on grass in her career to date. She lost 7-6, 4-6, 6-7 to fifth seed Jessica Pegula after failing to convert several match points in the third set.

The 25-year-old was gracious in defeat, saying in her post-match press conference: “Thank you so much for coming and making the atmosphere very special. It’s been an incredible week for me. I missed playing on grass. Making the final means a lot to me.

“Losing today is upsetting but Jess congratulations to you. You’re such a fighter. It’s nice to see you back on tour. Couldn’t have wished for a better comeback. If we play like this against each other every time, I’ll be happy for both of us.
