KK Dixon, the former partner of Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant, recently posted a clip of their daughter Kaari showcasing her baseball skills. In her Instagram story, Dixon shared a video of Kaari playing baseball and wearing the #3 jersey.
This wasn’t the first time Dixon posted about Kaari playing baseball. She frequently shares moments of Kaari participating in various sports on her Instagram stories.
In the latest post featuring Kaari’s athletic endeavors, Dixon added a sweet caption, saying:

“My favorite #3🤍.”
Kaari was born in August 2019, two months after Ja Morant was selected second overall in the NBA Draft by the Memphis Grizzlies.
Dixon and Morant, who met at Murray State University where Morant became a collegiate star, started dating in 2017 but separated in January 2023.
They share joint custody of Kaari.
In other Instagram posts, Dixon has shown Kaari trying out various sports, including tennis and basketball, following in her father’s footsteps.
In one video, Kaari is seen scoring a jump shot, then flexing at the camera while playfully trash-talking her mom.
Ja Morant faced a challenging year with suspensions and injuries that kept him away from the NBA for an extended period.
He was hit with a 25-game suspension ahead of the 2023-24 season due to two incidents involving guns on social media. Shortly after his return, he suffered a torn labrum, which sidelined him for the remainder of the season.
Morant managed to play only nine games last season, averaging 25.1 points, 8.1 assists and 5.6 rebounds.
Reflecting on his offseason during media day, Morant said he cherished the extra time he spent with his family and felt the best he had in a while.
“Right now, you know, I’m probably the happiest I feel like I’ve been in a while,” he said (per Memphis Commercial Appeal).
“Just having my family, my AAU team and the little things I was doing to keep me going and that makes me happy being able to do it this offseason – catching up with a lot of my family has been good.”
Morant didn’t go into detail about specific activities, but he celebrated Kaari’s fifth birthday in August.
“Being able to take care of my family and put them in positions to excel in whatever they want to do in life. That’s my main goal. All that’s going well right now, so I have no complaints,” Morant added.
Ja Morant and the Grizzlies are currently getting ready for preseason action, which begins next week, Oct. 7, against the Dallas Mavericks.
