Courtney B. Vance Says 'Wonderful' Travis Kelce Joining “Grotesquerie” Shows the 'Power of Ryan Murphy': 'Nice Choice' (Exclusive)

Travis Kelce has already created a Hall of Fame career as one of the best tight ends in the NFL. While he has stated that he doesn’t intend to end his NFL career soon, he is already chartering a post-NFL career path: acting.

The tight end’s interest in an acting career took its first step this offseason as he debuted in Ryan Murphy’s series “Grotesquerie.” In an interview with People, Courtney B Vance, one of Kelce’s co-stars in the series, said:

“He was very wonderful. [It was] not a surprise, he was just prepared. He was just good. And if he needed some help, he was open.”

Vance also praised director and producer Ryan Murphy for selecting Travis Kelce for the role. He said that it shows how well respected Murphy is that he could make a call and convince the Kansas City Chiefs tight end to make his debut in the series.

Actress Niecy Nash-Betts was one of Travis Kelce’s co-stars in “Grotesquerie.” Last week, she opened up about working with him. She said he was open to suggestions and a pleasure to work with. She added that he came to the set well-prepared every day before they began shooting.

She also took a moment to get a friendly jab at her co-star.

“Anything and everything. Travis is greedy. Anything and everything. I’m talking from burgers to pasta. Only one of us ever ate a salad and that was me,” Nash-Betts said in an interview with ETalk.

Fans got their first glimpse of Kelce in his acting debut in the most recent episode of the series this week.

Nash-Betts was in attendance at SoFi Stadium on Sunday afternoon, cheering on and supporting the tight end as the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 17-10.
