8 Early Match Predictions For WWE Bad Blood 2024

WWE Bash in Berlin was a huge success with several top babyface victories. Gunther retaining the World Heavyweight Championship prevented Randy Orton from winning a 15th World Championship in a superb main event in his first title defense, and new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions were crowned. All attention will turn to Bad Blood 2024, the show’s fourth installment. Ironically, the show on October 5 will be 27 years to the day of the inaugural Badd Blood: In Your House in 1997 which featured the first-ever Hell in a Cell match between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker.

The first Bad Blood premium live event in 20 years promises to be another exciting event. Hell in a Cell matches have featured in three previous Bad Blood events, and the theme is expected to continue here. Triple H likes to book five matches on premium live events which has happened on the majority of events in 2024 so some of these predicted matches may not happen. Furthermore, no matches have been officially announced yet but some feuds need to be settled, and championships will be up for grabs once again.

CM Punk Vs. Drew McIntyre (Hell In A Cell Match)

Bash in Berlin 2024 Strap match CM Punk 19:15

The rivalry between former World Champions CM Punk and Drew McIntyre has been fascinating. The Scottish Psychopath won their first meeting at SummerSlam 2024, and Punk registered his first victory on a WWE premium live event in 11 years when he avenged his loss to McIntyre at Bash in Berlin in a strap match.

Punk stated that he is interested in challenging Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship, but there will be a rubber match to settle the score at Bad Blood. McIntyre and Punk’s final encounter for bragging rights will be in the confines of Hell in a Cell, and there could be a number one contender’s stipulation for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Nia Jax’s second stint with WWE has been nothing short of extraordinary. The Irresistible Force won the 2024 Queen of the Ring tournament, and she converted that triumph by defeating Bayley at SummerSlam 2024 to win the WWE Women’s Championship.

Bayley is one of the best female wrestlers ever and a multiple time WWE Women’s Champion. But there are things she hasn’t accomplished in her career.

The Role Model was off WWE programming for several weeks but she returned during Jax’s title defense against Michin in a Street Fight. Tiffany Stratton is Ms. Money in the Bank, and she will inevitably cash in her Money in the Bank briefcase. Nevertheless, Bayley will be looking to recapture the championship she lost to Jax at SummerSlam, and a rematch at Bad Blood would be good for Jax’s title reign.

Damian Priest Vs. Finn Balor

The Judgment Day Imploded At SummerSlam 2024

  • Seeds have been planted for months for Finn Balor and Damian Priest splitting up.
  • Balor cost Priest the World Heavyweight Championship.
  • Balor and Priest were two-time Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions.

Tension had been brewing for several months between Damian Priest and Finn Balor especially when Priest was the reigning World Heavyweight Championship. At SummerSlam 2024, Priest defended his championship against Gunther, and Priest was close to retaining the title but Balor betrayed him.

The former two-time Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions are yet to clash in a one-on-one match since the fallout of SummerSlam. Bad Blood is the perfect location for them to face off, and Balor may have a slight advantage with Carlito, Dominik Mysterio, and Balor’s World Tag Team Championship partner JD McDonagh guaranteed to get involved in the match.

Bron Breakker Vs. Jey Uso – WWE Intercontinental Championship Match

Jey Uso Would Provide A Stern Test For Breakker

  • Bron Breakker won the WWE Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam 2024.
  • Jey Uso is seeking his first singles championship in his WWE career.
  • The Steiners and The Anoa’i Families have a history.

Bron Breakker has been dominant in the summer of 2024 resulting in a one-sided WWE Intercontinental Championship victory over four-time champ Sami Zayn at SummerSlam 2024. Breakker has only defended the Intercontinental Championship once since winning the title, and a tournament is currently in progress for his next challenger.

“Main Event” Jey Uso has come close several times to ending his drought of winning a singles championship. Breakker and Jey have gone tic for tac in promos. Breakker’s uncle and father defeated Jey’s father and Samu, The Headshrinkers at SummerSlam 1993, and Jey going head-to-head with Breakker would be an enthralling championship match.

Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill Vs. Pure Fusion Collective

Belair And Cargill Recaptured The Titles At Bash In Berlin 2024

  • Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill became two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
  • Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler have been knocking on the door to win the Women’s Tag Team Titles.
  • Belair and Cargill need fresh challengers.

Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill surprisingly dropped the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship to the Unholy Union at Clash at the Castle: Scotland but they weren’t involved in the decision to lose their titles. Nevertheless, Belair and Cargill got back on track as they recaptured the gold two months later by defeating The Unholy Union at Bash in Berlin.

Another tag team who have been hunting down the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions is Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler. The split between Belair and Cargill is still too early, but beating the Pure Fusion Collective’s Stark and Baszler would be a good start to their second run as champions.

Carmelo Hayes Vs. Andrade

SmackDown (8/30/24) Singles match Carmelo Hayes 13:52

Fans have been treated to outstanding wrestling matches on SmackDown between Andrade and Carmelo Hayes in July and August. The former United States Champion won their first two meetings, but Hayes, who has thrived since being drafted to the blue brand has won their two most recent encounters.

There are guaranteed to be more matches between them and with four matches on the board, they should have a best-of-seven series match with the rivalry culminating at Bad Blood.

Cody Rhodes Vs. Kevin Owens – Undisputed WWE Championship Match

KO Will Inevitably Turn Heel In Their Rivalry

Cody Rhodes has received a lot of criticism for his Undisputed WWE Championship reign for not being as good as many expected it to be. However, the American Nightmare clashed with Kevin Owens in the curtain-raiser at Bash in Berlin 2024.

They had a solid wrestling match as expected, and Cody was the overwhelming favorite to prevail. Cody retained the Undisputed WWE Championship, and Solo Sikoa is looking to challenge for the Undisputed WWE Championship again. Sikoa’s opportunity could come on the blockbuster September 13, 2024 edition of SmackDown, and should Cody face KO again at Bad Blood, KO’s inevitable heel turn could come before then in an anticipated rematch.

Liv Morgan Vs. Rhea Ripley – Hell In A Cell Match For The Women’s World Championship

Ripley Is After Morgan’s Women’s World Championship

SummerSlam 2024 Women’s World Championship match Liv Morgan 15:55
Bash in Berlin 2024 Mixed tag team match (Liv Morgan & Dominik Mysterio Vs. Rhea Ripley & Damian Priest) Rhea Ripley & Damian Priest 14:20

The heated rivalry between Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley has been ongoing for several months, Morgan is the reigning Women’s World Champion and Ripley is after the championship she never lost. Morgan saw off Ripley at SummerSlam to remain as Women’s World Champion all thanks to outside interference from Dominik Mysterio who betrayed Ripley for Morgan.

Ripley and Damian Priest teamed up to face Morgan and “Dirty Dom” at Bash in Berlin with Ripley clinching victory for the Terror Twins as she pinned Morgan. The Eradicator will want another shot at Morgan’s Women’s World Championship, and they could clash in the fifth women’s Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood which would keep Judgment Day out of the way, and it’s a bout that is worthy of main eventing the show.
