Angel Reese forced to clarify pregnancy and relationship rumors as WNBA star suffers season-ending wrist injury

The Chicago Sky star, 22, recently announced that she had been ruled out for the remainder of the season with an injury, bringing her historic year to a premature end.

However, with Reese opting not to specify her injury, this seemingly prompted speculation that she could in fact be pregnant.

Reese clearly has no time for such speculation, recording an over four-minute-long TikTok in which she addressed her injury, the aforementioned rumors, and more.

She explained that she had suffered a hairline fracture in her wrist after falling on her hand – something she called a “minor setback to a major comeback.”

What’s more, Reese added that she was scheduled to undergo surgery on Tuesday.

Had she opted against this, she said she could have developed arthritis or further aggravated the fracture.

Reese expects to be in a hard cast for four weeks, followed by another two in a soft cast.

“I’m not pregnant. That was never a thing,” Reese then clarified, showing off her toned midriff for the camera.

In an attempt to make things “crystal clear,” she added that she doesn’t “have a man to have kids, I don’t have a ring to have kids, I am 22 with no kids. And I’m not coming home to no kids.

“So that’s not going to be a thing any time soon.”

Reese then shut down suggestions she had faked her injury.

She noted that the Sky had given her the option to push through her injury, however, her desire to ensure she has “a long career in the league” was behind her decision.

While recovering, Reese intends to focus on “lifting, running, conditioning, shooting with my off hand, dribbling, doing stuff with my off hand, working on my nutrition, modeling still, podcasting still, being a baddie still.”

She added that she’ll be there supporting her Sky teammates from the bench, as she was on Sunday when they beat the Dallas Wings 92-77.

The win leaves Chicago eighth in the Eastern Conference, with Reese confident they can still reach the postseason.
