This past Saturday at Bad Blood, Liv Morgan defended her Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley, where Dominik Mysterio was locked inside the shark cage, suspended near the ringside for this match. While Morgan was happy to still hold on to her title after Ripley won the bout via DQ, it seems like the fairytale love story between her and Dom could end soon.
At the premium live event, Dominik tried to help his on-screen girlfriend, but he failed, as he failed to escape the cage and instead got stuck, leading to Ripley attacking him with a kendo stick. Raquel then attacked Rhea, leading to the referee called off the match. After the bout, Liv Morgan, alongside Dom and Raquel, was stopped backstage for an interview by Cathy Kelley. Liv was asked about her still being the champion, to which she said she might not be the strongest, but she is the smartest. However, eagle-eyed fans caught The Miracle Kid breaking her character during the segment.
During the backstage interview, Dominik Mysterio’s hands were on the shoulders of both Liv and Raquel. However, for some reason, the Women’s World Champion broke her character and removed the hand of her on-screen boyfriend. The clip has now gone viral on social media, with some suggesting that Morgan might be unhappy with the former NXT North American Champion.
This tension between these two could lead to their breakup. The story received more attention after Rhea Ripley reposted it on her X/Twitter account. According to Morgan, she is now moving on from Ripley, and she might not need Mysterio, as she majorly picked him to complete her revenge tour on Mami. Now, for her help, she has a better partner in Raquel, who could take care of the business better than Dirty Dom.
The issues between Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan are far from resolved. They are likely to continue their feud heading into Survivor Series 2024. Fans and pundits have been predicting that both women will assemble their teams to take on each other in women’s WarGames match.
However, before that, Liv Morgan has a big match coming next month. She will face Nia Jax in a world champion vs. world champion match at Crown Jewel 2024. The winner of the bout will be crowned Crown Jewel Champion. The event is scheduled for November 2, 2024, at Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh.
