WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin has seemingly given her public notice of resignation from WWE on Monday. In a note to fans, she confirmed that her time as the ring announcer for Raw is over and it sounds like her time in WWE is over too. As for who will take over the role or where she will go next, that was not made clear.
She explained in her tweet:
Irvin posted a message on X on Monday afternoon stating she was leaving the company:
WWE Universe, my time has come to an end as your Monday Night Raw Ring Announcer. I love you all tremendously and this does not mark the end of my art, I have a lifetime more to share. Thank you to every WWE fan who accepted me.
In a heartfelt message, Irvin expressed immense pride in being part of the Women’s Locker Room, emphasizing the incredible bond and support within the group. She extended he thanks to the crew and cameramen for creating a positive atmosphere filled with encouragement and laughter. She also showed her appreciation for WWE Superstars, both past and present, highlighting their dedication to entertaining audiences. She noted, “Thank you for making it so easy to pour emotion and excitement into your introductions. You are the stars that stars idolize. It doesn’t get any bigger and I’m proud to have used my voice to let the world know it.”
Samantha Irvin is currently doing an incredible job as WWE’s ring announcer. She’s able to sing and has added lots of personality to different entrances to make them feel unique. But is she the greatest of all time?
Irvin thanked Paul Heyman, Michael PS Hayes, and Michael Cole for their guidance and inspiration, as well as to Brian “Road Dogg” James, Scott Armstrong, and Gabe Sapolsky for providing crucial opportunities in their career. “There is no form of entertainment like this and not just any entertainer can be a WWE Superstar. The respect I have for you is more than I can express.,” she noted.
Speculation will almost immediately begin that Irvin is headed to AEW. Ricochet is Irvin’s fiance and he recently signed with AEW, making the jump from WWE. She didn’t follow, but no one will be surprised that just a couple of months later, she has announced her departure from WWE.
There was been no comments from Irvin or AEW on her coming aboard, but should she, fans will have seen the move coming from a mile away.
