Bronson Reed Unveils the Shocking Backstory Behind His WWE Raw Attack on Seth Rollins!

Bronson Reed has elaborated on the initial plans where he attacked Seth Rollins.

Beginning his monster heel run, Reed blindsided Rollins on Raw and hit 2 Tsunamis on The Visionary. As medical personnel rushed out to check on Rollins, fans thought that this was the end of the segment. However, Reed continued the assault and would not stop until he hit 6 dives onto Rollins.

With the fans at first shocked at what they saw and later chanting for even more, Reed instantly became a threat on the main roster and was significantly elevated thanks to the moment. However, speaking in a new interview, the original plan was not as intense.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet about the segment, Reed admitted that 6 was not the plan but they just went with it due to the response from the crowd:

“No [laughs]. I think it was supposed to be significantly less. Then the way that it turned out with Hunter’s vision, is it just was more and more and more. It was one of those things where you’re listening to the audience, you can just feel a change in the audience as I was doing it. I hit the first two, they’re sort of booing. It looks like that’s it, then I go out for the third one, people sort of like, what the hell’s going on here?

Then I go up for the fourth one, they can’t comprehend what’s happening. And by the fifth one, they’re chanting for more. There’s like blood lust amongst the crowd for someone that they love as well. They love Seth Rollins. I was glad that it actually ended up working where after the sixth one I left, and they still started chanting and singing his music that he comes out to, so that also worked.”

Continuing, Reed stated that as the attack was happening he informed Rollins that more would be coming and was happy with the buzz that was created that night:

“As it’s happening. So it’s one of those things like, yeah, he has to be willing to be there and I have to be willing to be able to do more. But it had definitely worked out and made for such a great moment in television. I think I had so much buzz around that, and then people online as well saying they haven’t seen something like that in WWE for so long where you can take someone to just propel them in one night with just one segment. Not a match, nothing else, just that brutality.”

The attack on Rollins was the start of Reed’s viral moments on Raw, many of which featured Braun Strowman. Also in the interview, Bronson Reed admitted that he wasn’t expecting a certain WWE moment to be that popular.

Also in the interview, the WWE star made their case to be one of John Cena’s opponents.
