Reigning Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has been embroiled in a feud with the new iteration of The Bloodline over the last few months. Meanwhile, fans attending an upcoming edition of RAW would get the opportunity to witness The American Nightmare’s rivalry with the heel faction as he is slated to face Solo Sikoa in a Philadelphia Street Fight this October.
After being one of the most prominent members of the flagship show for two years, Rhodes moved to SmackDown following his victory over Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. However, the former AEW EVP recently announced on social media that he would return to RAW this month. The 39-year-old is scheduled for the October 21 and 28 editions of the Monday Night Show.
Cody Rhodes is slated to face the Anoa’i family member on October 21 in a Philadelphia Street Fight. It will likely be a dark match. Champions from other brands often defend their titles in dark matches after the TV show goes off air.
Cody Rhodes will battle Solo Sikoa in a tag team match this weekend. The reigning champion will team up with Roman Reigns to take on the self-proclaimed Tribal Chief and Jacob Fatu at the Bad Blood Premium Live Event this Saturday.
The unlikely union was formed on the September 13 edition of SmackDown when Roman saved Cody from a beatdown from The Bloodline. Later, Solo challenged The OTC and The American Nightmare to a tag team match at Bad Blood. Despite initially resisting, the former rivals agreed to join forces in Atlanta on October 5.
However, their union is unlikely to last long, as the Original Tribal Chief has already stated his desire to go after the Undisputed WWE Title after The Bloodline saga. It will be interesting to see if Cody and Roman function as a team this Saturday.
