Baker Mayfield’s wife Emily is devastated over Hurricane Helene’s impact in Tampa. The storm has left a trail of destruction, with multiple people evacuating in search of safety.
The community, naturally, is extremely affected by the situation. Per the AP on Friday, the storm has already killed at least 44 people in the southeastern United States.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB and his family also evacuated, Emily shared in an emotional update with fans. She also highlighted the devastating hurricane’s effect on others.
“I do not have words to accurately describe my heartbreak for everyone affected by Hurricane Helene. You see this stuff on TV – but until you live through it, you can’t fully grasp the terror associated with the unknowns. Baker, Koko, Fergus, and I evacuated yesterday and are safe,” Baker added.
Reaching out to the community, Emily added now their community got ‘pummeled’. However, she mentioned how it doesn’t compare to how bad it was up North.
“It’s unfathomable. I’m so thankful to God for protecting us – and our home- and I’m praying nonstop for everyone dealing with the aftermath of the storm, the surge, the damage, the loss.”
In the end, Emily even asked people to reach out and let them know if they can ‘tangibly help.”
Steadily growing her Instagram account and brand, Emily Mayfield doesn’t shy away from sharing her opinion on the app. However, Emily is just as quick to reach out to people who might need some help.
Back in April, Emily sent prayers to everyone hit by the tornado in her hometown Nebraska.
“My hometown and surrounding areas were hit HARD yesterday by a slew of tornados. Please please keep everyone in your prayers. And local NE people, please send relief effort options so we can help from afar,” Emily wrote.
Now in Tampa, Florida, Emily was born in Nebraska (1991). After completing her initial studies in the state, she moved to Los Angeles after college.
