Former WWE Champion Batista Reveals the ‘Best Advice’ He Received from Triple H!

Former WWE Champion Batista has opened up on a valuable advice Triple H once offered him.

After years of friendship and on-screen rivalry, Batista has opened up on a piece of valuable advice his friend and ‘mentor’ Triple once gave him. The two have been linked together since their early days in Evolution alongside Randy Orton and Ric Flair.

Sharing a rich history, the Dune actor won his first World Championship from Triple H and even had his final match against The Game at WrestleMania 35. Recently during an interview with The School of Hark Knocks, Batista shared Triple H’s wise words for him.

I had a mentor named Triple H and there were a couple of things he said to me that always stuck with me. One of the things was when I first got there, I was so afraid…I didn’t want to piss people off. It was a hierarchy thing and I was so afraid of being disrespectful or pissing somebody off. One day he said, ‘Look man, you want to make money or you want to make friends?

This is a business. You have to look at it like a business. You’re a business.’ I always thought about myself as my own commodity. I am my brand. Another thing he said, ‘Always imagine that everybody is pointing a gun at your head. It’s up to you how many bullets you give them.”

Asked to look upon himself as a business instead of making friends, The Animal took the advice seriously and was one of the biggest names in wrestling before making the switch to Hollywood.

His current film, ‘The Killer’s Game’ is currently out in the theaters, and also stars Drew McIntyre.

Recently speaking to BuzzFeed Celeb, Batista opened up on why he left the wrestling business for Hollywood.

I would still be involved with WWE, I hope. Because I really loved it. It wasn’t that I ever wanted to not be a part of that universe because I love the WWE Universe. It was just that I became so passionate about acting, and I’m still pursuing it with everything I have, but I still love that world.”

A big name in the industry, the former World Champion is still interested in a return to the Stamford-based promotion and expressed his love for the wrestling industry.
