Serena Williams’ post-retirement life sees her taking on multiple roles as a mother, wife, and businesswoman. She aligns her work with her youngest daughter’s naptime to balance her personal and professional life. Interestingly, the American revealed that she enjoys doing laundry to unwind from business-related stress.

Serena Williams, mother to two daughters—Olympia, 7, and Adira, 1—skillfully balances her role as a parent alongside her ventures in the business world. On top of raising her children, Williams runs a successful venture fund and oversees her makeup line, Wyn Beauty.

After receiving the honor of ‘2024 Glamour Global Woman of the Year’, Serena received congratulatory messages from her husband, Alexis Ohanian, and her sister, Venus Williams.

In her Glamour interview in September, which was timed during Adira’s nap and Olympia’s school hours, Williams shared that she “always needs a project”, even taking on the renovation of her home.

Due to her packed schedule, she revealed that she had not touched a tennis racket in three months. Between juggling investor pitches and calls, the 23-time Grand Slam champion said that her favorite way to unwind is surprisingly simple—doing the laundry.

“I love the smell of it… I like things very, very neat,” Williams said.
