Jason Kelce “can’t wait” for brother Travis’ form to “turn” after the tight end’s slow start to the new NFL season.
Although the Kansas City Chiefs are 3-0 and expected to be in Super Bowl contention again this term, Travis has struggled to impress during the opening games. Some critics have blamed his questionable form on his relationship with singer Taylor Swift, with the couple frequently seen at public events in recent months.
Travis, who co-hosts the “New Heights” podcast with Jason, has addressed this criticism on the latest episode of his show. The three-time Super Bowl winner insists he’s “not worried” about his form and believes everything will click into place soon.
Jason, who also won the Super Bowl during his successful career with the Philadelphia Eagles, agrees with his brother and was visibly angry at the criticism. “It’s gonna go your way,” the former center insisted on “New Heights”.
“It’s gonna go your way, especially if you freaking keep being the guy you’ve always been. There ain’t nobody that I’ve ever played sports with – and nobody that anybody’s ever been on a team with – that has loved being out there with Trav more. It’s frustrating for me to watch and have to listen to, but I can’t wait.”
Travis then thanked his brother for his support, before Jason added: “I just can’t wait – I can’t ——- wait for it – to turn.”

ESPN analyst Todd McShay is among those to question Travis’ form. He recently said: “Are we not allowed to say that he’s out of shape? That he’s been partying all offseason? That he’s been jet-setting around with the most famous person probably in the entire world? That he’s drinking [and] going to the U.S. Open and he’s got cocktails?”
In response to the criticism, Travis said on “New Heights”: “I’ve had a lot of catches in this league, man. I’m not worried about the catches and the yards, and all of that, I have the most fun when I get the ball thrown my way, I mean, who doesn’t?
“It has everything to do with execution and just making sure we’re doing everything we can to win these football games, that’s always going to be the goal. I think everyone saw my drop in the fourth quarter and the crucial third down, just trying to do too much before putting the ball away.
“That’s probably the biggest thing for me is making the play in big-time moments like that. I think with how defenses are playing us right now, I’m not really getting a lot of opportunities to make plays down the field, but not using that as an excuse.
“Moving forward, still trying to make sure I can help the team out in that regard knowing I’ve been that weapon for us in the past. Moving forward, everyone’s just tweaking their game in the right direction.”
