Jayson Tatum opened his eighth NBA season on a high note. While focused on the Boston Celtics’ title defense bid this season, he is also not taking time with his son Deuce for granted. Though basketball is a big part of his life, spending time with his son remains a priority.

On Oct. 27, the Celtics star posted a picture of his son dressed in his Halloween costume. In the picture, Deuce is seen in his Venom costume, with a Beetlejuice dummy in the background.

Tatum had Deuce with his high school girlfriend Toriah Lachell. He was born on Dec. 6, 2017, shortly after Tatum was drafted by the Boston Celtics. The father-son duo has become a common sight on the basketball court. Deuce is often seen cheering his father during games.

Deuce was featured in the Netflix documentary “Starting 5” which his father starred.

Jayson Tatum and his pop star girlfriend Ella Mai have kept their relationship largely out of the public eye. While Mai continues to enjoy success in her music career, she also finds joy in Tatum’s basketball accomplishments.

Three days before the 2024-25 regular season started, Mai shared a picture on social media hinting at the start of the season. The Celtics’ star’s girlfriend posted a screenshot of a message on her Instagram Story, alluding to the Celtics’ season-opener against the New York Knicks.

“T minus 3 days until the most wonderful time of the year,” the text message read.

According to Page Six, Mai gave birth to her child with Tatum in August 2024.

Ella Mai and Tatum have been dating for over four years. They started dating in 2020 but only made their first public appearance together in 2022, at Michael Rubin’s party. They also attended Tatum’s former teammate Marcus Smart’s wedding together.
