LeBron James Reacts to Anthony Davis’ Story: ‘Bronny Dotted My Eye with 3-Pointers’ During Lakers Scrimmage

LA Lakers star Anthony Davis recalled when LeBron James and his son Bronny faced each other during a practice session. During one of their team scrimmages, the younger James got the best of his father after he nailed a 3-pointer in front of him.

According to AD’s story, the four-time champion took it as a challenge. After the 3-pointer was made, James quickly asked for the ball and went coast-to-coast, bullying one of their teammates as he drove to the basket. In the same practice session, Bronny knocked another shot from downtown as his father tried to contest the shot.

After that shot from the Lakers rookie, the big man shared that LeBron wanted the ball for another go at his son. Watch as Davis told the media the story of the father-son competition.

Lebron shared the post on his Instagram stories and had an interesting claim on why he wanted to get back at his son during practice.

“Yeah he dotted my eye for sure! Wanted that get back ASAP! Ha,” James posted on IG.

The LA Lakers played against the Golden State Warriors on Friday, Oct. 18, to wrap up their preseason. During that game, LeBron James’ son finished the night with 17 points, four rebounds and three steals. That game was Bronny’s best game in the league yet.

The attention was on the father-son duo following the game. Former NBA star Magic Johnson was impressed with what he saw from the rookie guard and gave his flowers on X (formerly Twitter).

“Laker Nation, I have to tell you Bronny James is going to be a really good basketball player! Last night, he showed he has a few things you simply can’t teach-high basketball IQ, athleticism, and a competitive spirit that makes him a tenacious defender!” Magic posted.

In a separate X post, Magic spoke highly about the 55th pick. He believes that Bronny is in good hands with the Lakers and will likely play heavy minutes as he develops. The five-time champion even compared the young guard to Alex Caruso and Austin Reaves, underrated players who developed into key contributors on the team.
