Michael Jordan’s Family Legacy: Discover the Stories of His Parents, Siblings, and Kids!

Michael Jordan, who is regarded as the best basketball player of all time, led the Chicago Bulls to six NBA titles. As the only team in history to accomplish two “three-peats,” they created history by taking home three titles in a row from 1991 to 1993 and 1996 to 1998. During his time, Michael Jordan won two gold medals with Team USA in the Olympics.

He is known for his skill and athleticism which made him a better player in NBA. Till date, Michael Jordan is considered the Greatest Player of All Time in the NBA. His playing style has inspired many basketball players. Many stars like Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry LeBron James, etc hails Michael Jordan as the NBA Legend, who changed the course of the game. Michael’s parents encouraged him to participate in neighborhood sports when he was younger and helped him through all of his significant life events.

James Jordan and his wife Deloris attended a Charity High School in Rose Hill, North Carolina. In 1954 they first at during a basketball game in which James Jordan was playing in the team. Later, they went on to date for their high school years. Michael Jordan’s parents spent 18 months in New York before settling back in North Carolina to raise a family. Meanwhile, Michael Jordan is their fourth child as he has two elder brothers and one elder sister.

Juanita Vanoy was born on June 13, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois. She was raised on the South Side of the city and played basketball for the Fenger Academy High School team as a teenager, where she discovered her passion for the game. She continued her education after high school, working as a loan officer at a Chicago bank and obtaining an associate’s degree. Michael Jordan and Juanita Vanoy met in a Chicago Bennigan’s restaurant in March 1985. They first met when Vanoy went to a Chicago Bulls game and saw Jordan play basketball from the stands. The marriage lasted for 17 years as Michael Jordan and Juanita Vanoy announced their separation in 2006. He had three children from Juanita Vanoy.

On 27th April Michael Jordan married Yvette Prieto. The wedding took place at  Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church. Over 500 guests were there at the wedding to see them getting married. In 2008 Michael Jordan first met Yvette Prieto at a nightclub in Miami since then the duo had a romantic connection which led them to their marriage.

From his first marriage, Michael Jordan welcomed his firstborn child Jeffrey Michael Jordan. He joined the basketball team in 2007 at the University of Illinois. Later in 1990, Marcus James Jordan was born. Marcus Jordan also followed in his father’s footsteps and joined basketball in high school and college at the University of Central Florida. In 1992, Michael Jordan and Juanita Vanoy welcomed another child Jasmine, who is their first daughter. Just a few months later, Jordan and his longtime girlfriend Prieto wed, and the couple announced that they were expecting their first child together. On Feb. 9, 2014, Prieto gave birth to their identical twin daughters, Victoria and Ysabel.
