After Friday’s blockbuster trade that sent Karl-Anthony Towns to the Knicks, Kendra Randle, the wife of new Minnesota Timberwolves’ star Julius Randle, has celebrated leaving New York City.
Randle took to her TikTok account to relay details from the last half-week for the couple, whose lives were turned upside down with the trade to Minnesota.
Also heading from New York to Minnesota is Donte DiVincenzo, as two of the NBA’s elite teams look to make themselves better ahead of next season.
Kendra Randle first detailed how she has prioritized her two sons with the move, Kyden, 7, and Jaycey, 2.
‘It is pretty hectic. I’m really grateful that it’s actually not in the middle of the season, like, before the tradeline, or whatever. But, it has been pretty crazy for our first time and unexpected,’ Kendra Randle said.

‘Living in a condo with two kids is so hard. I don’t care what anyone else says. It was a great experience but we were already looking to move outside the city. It was just getting so hard and overwhelming for us.’
Randle said breaking the news to Kyden about changing schools and leaving his friends in New York was the hardest part about the trade.
‘That was by far the hardest conversation and honestly the hardest part for Julius and I. Leaving that community, the school’s incredible, the parents (and) the boys. He’s been so sad all week,’ Kendra Randle added.
Randle had been with the Knicks since 2019 and was integral in the team’s rise from mediocrity into legitimate playoff contender.
Randle grew up in the Dallas suburb of Plano and played college in Kentucky.
It is safe to say Minneapolis is closer to those environments than New York City.
