Novak Djokovic has revealed how much time he puts into taking care of his children’s activities, despite being a professional tennis player. The 37-year-old is married to Jelena Djokovic, and they are blessed with two kids; a son, Stefan, and a girl, Tara.
Djokovic’s love for his children is evident both on and off the court. His kids, Stefan and Tara, are often seen cheering him on from the stands. At the 2024 Wimbledon, Tara sat with Jelena, and after each victory, Djokovic dedicated his wins to her with his signature violin celebration.
At the Paris Olympics, after beating Carlos Alcaraz in the singles final to win the elusive gold medal, Djokovic celebrated with his daughter in tears. However, at the Davis Cup match, despite Djokovic’s children’s absence in the stands, the former World No.1 helped Serbia progress to the 2025 Davis Cup qualifiers after beating Greece.
In a recent interview, he revealed that he always wants his children to be there with him and explained how important he takes care of their physical activities as an athlete.
Djokovic helped Serbia win the 2010 Davis Cup after beating France 3-2. Last year, he tried to replicate the 2010 run before falling short against eventual champions, Italy, in the semifinals.
Novak Djokovic also recently revealed that his children complain that they are the only kids who don’t have phones in school. Djoker has traveled around the world winning tournaments and earning millions in prize money. However, he believes he has to be strict on some aspects of his children’s life.
In recent years, the Serbian star has reduced his tennis schedule, playing in fewer tournaments than other players in Top 10. Nole had admitted that he is doing so because of his age and the need to be closer to his children.
This season, Djokovic is yet to win any ATP title. His only piece of silverware came at the Paris Olympics, where he claimed the singles gold.
