Always very eloquent and subtle in his speeches, Novak Djokovic made the audience smile when he addressed his family after his heavy defeat against Carlos Alcaraz in the Wimbledon final this Sunday. The Serbian notably sent a message to his 9-year-old son, Stefan, a tennis fan.
“To my wife, I love you, thank you for supporting me, for being there. To my beautiful children, Tara and Stefan, thank you also for making me smile every day. I still get tears in my eyes when I look at him at the ceremony, but it’s amazing to have them, I’m so grateful to be the father of his two little angels who love tennis. They love tennis more and more. I don’t know if I have the nerves to continue a career in coaching with my son. There are many beautiful things in life my son. It’s not just tennis but if you really want to pursue it, I will be there for you.”
