Triple H and Shawn Michaels have been the best of friends and the worst of enemies. In recent history, Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade are currently writing their names into this history. And in NXT, their story is continuing.
Perez and Jade have been linked in NXT for years now. At one point, they were at the top of the mountain together in WWE’s developmental brand, but that crumbled quickly. Now, there is a new part to that story currently developing. This is the history of Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez in NXT, so far.
Cora Jade And Roxanne Perez Found A Common Enemy
Jade And Perez Battled Toxic Attraction

There’s plethora of outstanding WWE women’s wrestling matches that are in the conversation for being the greatest of all time.
As previously mentioned, Perez and Jade’s histories have been linked in NXT for a very long time. Jade joined NXT in January 2021, while Perez signed in March 2022. And while there was that period of time when they were not on the roster together, it did not take long for them to find each other. Perez and Jade, at this point both babyfaces, found a common enemy inToxic Attraction. Mandy Rose, Jacy Jayne, and Gigi Dolin were taking over NXT. Rose held the NXT Women’s Title, while Jayne and Dolin held the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles.
This brought Jade and Perez together. At NXT’s Great American Bash 2022 event, Perez and Jade were successfully able to topple Toxic Attraction and win the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships. It was a tremendous win for two names who were seen as the ones to bring NXT into the future, but this feel good moment was not one that ended up lasting long. In fact, it was from the inside of the group that everything came crumbling down.

From humble beginnings as a CrossFit competitor, to teaming with Jade Cargill, this is Bianca Belair’s transformation over the years.
During an NXT Women’s Championship match between Perez and Rose, Jade got involved. However, her involvement did not benefit Perez. It was the complete opposite, in fact. Jade cost Perez the NXT Women’s Title, but it did not stop there. Jade then took it upon herself to trash her half of the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships. She made her intentions clear. It was Jade’s time to shine, and she was going to achieve success by any means, even if it meant turning her back on Perez.
Perez did not take this lightly. The two competed in a pair of matches. One took place at NXT Heatwave, where Jade was the winner over Perez. The second took place at NXT Halloween Havoc 2022, where Perez won in a Weapons Wild match. To date, the duo have not settled this tie between the two of them on television. And that is where their feud ended, for now.
Roxanne Perez And Cora Jade’s Paths In NXT
Perez Found A Ton Of Success, While Jade Dealt With Injury

In the aftermath of their rivalry, Perez and Jade’s careers took two different paths. Perez went on to capture the NXT Women’s Championship on two different occasions. She became the face of the NXT women’s division. Perez has put on classic matches against the likes of Jordynne Grace, Giulia, Thea Hail, Lyra Valkyria, Lola Vice, and more. She is, as of this writing, the reigning and defending NXT Women’s Champion.
As for Jade, her career has had a few ups and downs. Jade’s momentum was halted by absences from NXT. After a brief return in 2023, Jade sustained an injury in January 2024 when she tore her ACL in a live event match. It took her out of action for months, but she recently made her presence felt once again.
Roxanne Perez And Cora Jade Are Back Together

This takes us to their story in the present day. At NXT’s debut on CW, Perez was defending her NXT Women’s Championship against Giulia. During the match, Giulia was attacked. This cost her the match and the championship. It was revealed that it was Jade who got involved in the bout, surprising everyone, including Perez.
The next week on NXT, Jade addressed her return and stated that she was there to “make NXT.” She then spoke highly of Perez and her current attitude. In addition, Perez also spoke about how she should have listened to Jade early-on in NXT. After that, Giulia came out to confront Jade and Perez. She also revealed her back-up in the form of NXT’s newest name, Stephanie Vaquer.
This story has already had so much intrigue behind it from the past. Jade and Perez have been highly touted as the names that will bring the developmental brand, and WWE, into the future. There will certainly be more to the story as it unfolds.
