Brittany and Patrick Mahomes have been married for two years and will welcome their third child soon. Their love story dates back to middle school, and in 2023, the couple reminisced on how they were friends first before they began dating.

On the Netflix series “Quarterback,” Patrick shared details of their relationship. He said that Brittany initially referred to him as her “best friend” and nothing more.

“We kinda met in seventh, eighth grade,” Patrick said. “She was the grade above me. I was kind of the best friend, in the friend zone forever.”

It wasn’t until he gave Brittany Mahomes a rose on Valentine’s Day during his sophomore year of high school that their relationship changed forever.

“He thought it was a joke,” Brittany said. “I thought it was the cutest thing in the world. And then everyone at our lunch table started chanting, ‘Kiss him, kiss him,’ and made it really awkward cause we were ‘just friends,’ so that’s kind of what started it and then I thought it was cute.”

Brittany and Patrick Mahomes are parents to daughter Sterling and son Bronze. The Kansas City Chiefs QB recently revealed that their three-year-old daughter loves to bake and she has a new friend to bake with: Taylor Swift.

The Grammy-winning singer is a talented baker and some of her sweet treats were gifted to the Chiefs offensive line last season. Mahomes made his weekly appearance on Tuesday’s “96.5 The Fan” radio show and was asked if he ever had some of her famous baked goods.

“She never baked anything specifically for me,” Mahomes said. “But she’s made different treats that have been around my house, like muffins and donuts and stuff like that. Sterling’s a big baker as well, so they make some stuff together sometimes. I’m not going to say I don’t eat ‘em. She’s as good as everyone’s talked about, She’s as great as it comes as far as it comes to baking.”

Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes became friends in 2023, and along with their partners, have been on dates together and even watched the U.S. Open in September.
